Alberto looked good & determined to ride- which is good for the spectacle. BTW gotta acknowledge that massive pull done by Mic Rogers today- It was impeccable. I see TS as a team completely better suited to aid Contador than Astana's team to Nibali- and that might make the difference this year.

Indeed, Rogers should be hailed for his effort today. He looked almost like CAS as he was doing his final effort. :D

"I wanted to see how Nibali felt. It was a surprise to me that he let go of my wheel on the final 50 meters. I wasn’t hundred percent sure if there was a rider ahead for the stage win. So I was looking at Nibali all the time, until I saw the finish line screen indicating two minutes and then I decided to try to gain some seconds."

If this is true, he pretty much bossed Nibali.

Not during the tdf 2007. He used a very high candence. Paris nice 2007 very high cadence too. I quess it would be 2006 then.

I think it was 2007 PN the poster mentioned. Not sure.

I think Contador will win the Polka Dots this year, as well as yellow:eek:

I think he has a good chance, he is the best climber and won't just give away stage wins, he needs all the time he can get.

Hmm.... He produces very little lactic acid ... It's part of why he's so good. :)

Its because high cadence uses slow twitch muscles and lactic acid production is less in them...now that he uses the fast twitch muscles(low cadence) more lactic acid production will be greater so he must have worked on that problem

What I meant is that AC naturally produces very little lactic acid. So not sure if the bigger production of lactic acid will be such a big problem.

I think the main reason Contador changed was due to the insistance of De Jongh
Dancing produces more power,Contador ability to stand and pedal for a long period is exceptional
but Contador before was seen using a lower gear while even standing this enabled to used his anaerobic ability and his stamina on long climbs
but its a fact that standing can make you put out more power so now he is pushing a harder gear while standing to produce more power which seems to be more effective

yeah i agree so use the fact that he produces lesser lactic acid to an advantage by pushing a harder gear
