Wait what? Alberto is racing the Vuelta??

Small possibility he will, what gives us some more hope is that it seems he's already been training for 2 weeks but even that is not confirmed. Next week we'll know but don't get your hopes up too high.

How can you even tell if he gained 2 kilo's and even then it was a week ago, he can lose that easily (at that point he still had 3 weeks)

ufff... i'm not so sure about that. If you read Alberto interview in this early year he said, that he finally closed his mouth during winter to control his weight. So that suggest to me that he has some problem like nibs, controlling the weight. He is no his 20's anymore. Those fat are harder to get ride off.. :D

If you think that's contador in the pic of fuente de then well that's just a disgrace

That prov list only shows 7 starting members? Are these 4 reserves?

Anyway the 2 spots could be reserved for kreuziger and contador, still uncertain if they can race, so that makes sense

I never knew there were 2, I've always used the one with 702k followers, it's been there for years. I'll bet the other one is an unauthorized someone using his name!

As Carol says the legit one is the one with 702,208~likes on facebook, has always been and it's now a verified account as well.

Saxo their team line up greatly hints that they expect contador is gonna be in it.

Tosatto and bennati are in it after all. I might be wrong

Despite fans' desires, participation in Vuelta could become one of his biggest mistakes.
It's not some preparation race after a flu where the result isn't the most important thing. And there will be some heavy hitters, as well.
But I think all this hype is just the wishful thinking, anyway.

Could, would, should. I'll think above all that AC rides it for himself (because he wishes too), his team and IF he should ride is because he feels he can do something big and also after being greenlighted from his doctors. This commitment for racing and winning, sometimes at odds with his own body, is why many of us love him. And if he should fail we applaud him for trying. He wouldnt be Contador otherwise.

I trust the man himself in this matter and whatever choice he makes i'll support it.

Every decision deserves respect and support, off course. He's not a newbie.
But the point is that some fans are groundlessly creating the atmosphere of big expectation.

That's nice but it will be another Grand Tour where he gets outalien'd. No way he has the form to win against a top form Froome. He should not do the Vuelta unless he wants Froome to inflict another psychological scar upon him (that risk always exists with Froome being as strong as he is, but if you risk a scar, the rewards better be worth it ie Le Tour)

WOW! What in the blue hell makes you think Froome will be in TOP form? Pretty much nothing for the moment until the first MTF at the Vuelta. Everything will be revealed that day. At the moment, we can't be sure of anything.
Will Valverde find his best form back after poor TDF? Will Rodriguez confirm his improving form? Did Froome recover well from the fractured wrist and hand, did he train as hard as he usually does? Will Contador participate? In what kind of form? Will Horner be able to find his 2013 Vuelta form back? There are lot of questions. We don't know anything yet.
