When I look at a list of winners for the giro, 2011 says Michele Scarponi.
They are the official winners of the races, to claim otherwise while knowing these facts is lying. How that came to pass is irrelevant, Alberto Contador did not win the 2010 Tour or the 2011 Giro.
He was declared to have cheated during the 2010 tour, that is the facts, I did not lie.

Not good...... I never saw him on the front either. Was he?
Still the end result stands him in good stead if he can find some form and the leg holds up.

“It’s always important,” he said, when asked if being able to stay with his rival was a big boost for his confidence. “The first [attack] was very strong and very long. But my legs worked well and that made it more simple.”
Contador’s main aim in the race is to build form for the Tour de France, although if he manages to beat Froome for a stage win, that will be a big confidence boost for him. He said that he would see how things go, and would be satisfied to see some sign of improvement this week.
“I want to take it day by day,” he insisted. “I guess for the weekend [I’d like to] at least have my heart rate down. Today I reached 203 beats during the climb.”

Dr. Juice said:It's not unusual to have 200 bpm. He didn't race since the Tour, that's about 6 weeks. He had a similar break between Pais Vasco and Dauphine and there he also had over 200 on stage 2.
The Tinkoff-Saxo leader said he had not seen the overall classification, but "more than anything, I'm pleased I could follow the pace set down by my teammates. Another good symptom, too, is that I didn't feel any pain in my knee during the stage. The time differences aren't something that worry me too much right now."

Carols said:Evidently it is unusual for him as he said it indicated a lack of fitness. So he needs to get fitter. Race riding will accomplish that as long as the leg holds up.

I think he should have a decent tt,its a bit similiar to vasco one.modest climb, downhill.we will see, first he needs to not get dropped in stages 6 and 9.LaFlorecita said:That is actually quite possible.
