"Por ejemplo, los puntos internos que me pusieron están ahora saliendo del cuerpo y aunque no tiene mayor importancia, no va todo perfecto"

He said this today in interview, what the hell does that mean? It sounds like really bad

Ill translate for u.

" I will attack on every mountain finish from here to the end to gain time on my rivals, I want to win this Vuelta"

Him talking about his knee is like everyone talking about Alberto on the beach before the Giro a few years ago. His knee is a non-issue at this point. As of right now, he appears to be climbing better than everyone in the Vuelta. He is not done attacking and lighting up the race. Contador brings so much excitement to every race he is in, its great T.V.

To me Froome is the clear favourite to be in red after the TT. I think he can put 1-1.30 into Quintana, Contador and Valverde. I think Valverde will be second after the TT. So Froome might have a lead of 30-1min after the TT.

I guess we'll see, but i don't think Froome has that kind of form at the moment. Maybe if the ITT came later in the second week he could put that kind of time into them.

I would tend to agree with you. Based on what we saw so far, Froome isn't that stellar either. At least Contador, Quintana and Purito are. Can we draw for sure any conclusion based on that? Not really. But the ITT isn't pancake flat either, and the downhill is technical. So seems that everyone has a chance to limit their loses.

I could have sworn on yesterday mountain stage, after seeing sky driving hard, I thought Froome was going to launch a fierce attack. Clearly after Dan martin attacked, he immediately dropped back. Then, he tried to follow Quintana and Purito and he couldn't (it's sorta a reminiscence of Catalunya - rusty form) So the whole sky drove hard, was just to prevent anyone to attack sooner. So to take 1.30 from anyone at ITT seems to be a bit lofty at the moment for Froome. But as long as Contador can hold his ground and limit his loses, I'm a very happy camper :D

Today was pretty much the absolute best case scenario that could happen for him. Top favorite for the win even more now without a doubt.

Contador losing a minute to Froome in the TT is nonsense. Tomorrow's route is tailor made for Contador, it suits him even better than the Annecy TT. I won't be surprised if he wins the stage outright.

Didn't win the stage, but still

Wonderful, just wonderful. He has gone beyond my expectations. But now the problem may be the team. ..

Can anyone say Froome or Nibali would have beaten AC anywhere this year? :D :p He is the MAN of this year. Period!

I think AC was awesome today. But if this was his best level, then he wouldn't be close to either Froome or Nibbles in any gt.

Luckily this is no indication of a full prepeared AC :)

This is kinda my point. :) Look at him now and just imagine how strong he would have been in July. :D

Actually, if Contador wins La Vuelta it'd be with a big question mark. What if Froome and Quintana hadn't had...?

Sadly he will win this with no competition. Quintana just crashed, Froome is TTing like Anaconda and Valverde is Valverde.

Froome? I will give you Quintana, but Froome doesn't really have an excuse except poor form. He crashed out of the tour just days before Contador and neither competed in a race between the Tour and Vuelta.

Nibali won the Tour for lack of competition. Whereas Froome shot his bullets last year and ran out of amo. The Spaniard, in form, is a rare jewel. Imagine the last scenario. In fact the Tour would have been his.

If what you say is true then ACs win is gifted to him because 1. no Nibbles. and 2. Quintanas fall.

It seems Quintana was his only rival. Anyway, he just crushed because of his own mistake. Didn't he?

Can we wait with pointless discussions till after i'm dead? The Vuelta isn't even halfway, there are 6 mtf's and a tt to come and Contador's team so far has been lackluster, it's very far from over

No Nibbles is a great fighter, but Contador has nature on his side. Whereas Quintana is a press hype, he can't deal with the real change of rythyms and he is not very sporting (judging by how he stole the Giro).

Even if Quintana didn't fall, he still would have lost a minute to Alberto today. Game over.

Dream on. Quintana would have taken atleast 2 minutes on every proper mtf on AC with ease ;)
