I think the only GT with Contador that I could actually enjoy was Giro 2011 simply because he had so muh ease. It's all stress, even worse than Champions League football for me. I'll need a cardiac check up when he retires :D
ffootball is easy task in comparison with mountain stages with AC. :D And yeah Giro was kind of easier for fans, but I was still worried about .... you know what.

Apparently rain for today and tomorrow, this is good for Alberto. Hopefully Froome will blow up under these conditions.

Tomorrow he should either mark the master wheelsucker and Froome, or attack on the consistent 10 % of San Lorenzo, ride his own tempo the whole climb without looking back, send 2 teammates up the road who go full gas on the easy initial part of Farrapona and break the resistance of Valverde. The sooner he drops that disgrace the better.

What's the point in marking Evans?

His team was really good today.

I wish Contador was in his tour form, without even trying he destroyed piti like a bug on a 2km climb. Oh well, this way it's more exciting right lol

Contador doesn't need to attack ..he has the red jersey and a good cushion
He just needs to follow...and attack in last 2km and take stage (if no break)
TCS were good today

I agree about last climb. The team did well, better than that presaged the rise was only when the previous (excellent Zaugg).

On the tactics of alberto I have some doubts, I did not like so much. I understand that Froome is a bad score but he always more than one minute ahead. In doing so(attacks in repetition without having the form to support the pace) he ended as domestic of Valverde and Purito who outsprint him for bonuses:rolleyes:

What he needs to do now is focus completely on Valverde and hope nothing happens before the last climb tomorrow. With the way everyone is riding, I don't think the chances are that great.

Yeah.... It'll be nerve-racking but if he can limit his losses to 6 bonus seconds on the 3 coming mountain stages.... but Froome or Aru might be up there too if Alberto doesn't attack... god damnit:(

Tomorrow, hoping no one would move before the last climb and that he has good legs, berto should try only one major attack in the last 2km and gain a few seconds on the other.
He is the one with greater recovery and loves the stages with many hard climbs ...

I know it will not be easy but it is so:cool:

Well the man is between a rock and a hard place. Obviously his form isn't good enough to dispose of them and his team isn't stellar. Movistar is so strong and Bala just won't go away, Froome just won't go away. Meanwhile Alberto is turning himself inside out trying to get rid of them but can't manage it.

His form reminds me of 2012 Vuelta. Thank goodness he is the one with the 30 second lead this time though. It's up to one of the others to do a Fuenta De and that won't happen :p

Dr. Ferrari often said if you can't distance your opponent with attacks on power, you have to switch on the resistance on a multi mountain stage.
If Valverde has another so-so day, he can. If he implodes like he already did a couple of times on big stages like tomorrow, also.

But do you think AC can break his resistance? He should have better recovery between climbs.
Or he just puts in 1 furious attack after hanging on Valverde's *** all day? Does he have the power? We will see.
