I like Nibali, I really, really do. I'd happily cheer for him over all my GC riding countrymen without a nano-second of hesitation. But really... :rolleyes:

The cult is probalby the fact than Contador overshadows all other riders for many here. For some part of fancs on here at least Contador = cycling. His wins are reason for extreme delight and statements of 'Lol, that's real Contador. Keine chance for all the rest'. His defeats are deep personal sores. This thread often lives in captivity of idea about pit between Contador and the others. All great riders engender extremums of worship and disrespect. AC, VN, CF, NQ.. That's all about form in any single race. It's so close that a thousand of trifles plays like whole syphony orchestra and decide the outcome of races. All hints about Nibali being a second rate rider in comparison to Contador are utterly laughable. What's the use of deluding yourselves?

I dont disagree and i´ll admit that my own pleasures stems much from what AC does on the road. This is not exclusive for AC-fans though and sometimes the expression may take shape of something like a cult. That doesnt mean i was wrong when calling this dude out whom since his registration in 2014 only have spread pessimism, speaked about 2013, praising Froome...You can do that of course, but dont pretend to be a fan of Alberto then.

This is a real question: Has Nibali ever dropped Contador on a mtf? I'm not remembering a time but I could easily be forgetting something.

I think Tivo '13 is the closest thing there is. More like Nibali getting dropped later than Alberto than Nibali dropping Alberto though.
