no more then 6% average at most, the are several ways up but i think the one used on the tour last year was the 10k long one at 5.3%. i could be wrong tho.

no you're right, the climb was considered as 'easy'. That's why it was such a surpise Contador could damage the field so much, although the race was very hard therefore.

Very fast stage and rain of course. Now we know why Contador is hoping for rain in the next stages lol

I really expect something on fuente de, we know he's going to attack and he needs to do it from 5 km when the steepest parts are coming.

This should suit him more than purito although that's what a lot of us also said a few days ago about the 3 previous stages

What? There were 4 team mates with him. Accelerate, fracture the group. Make Katusha work.

Instead they ride like cretins on the Cobertoria, then mostly blow themselves up before the wall at Pajares (the gap stayed at 5.30 a lot longer than it should have) and subsequently chauffeur Rodriguez to a place where Contador was likely to attack.

And on the Covadonga he played it safe. Way too safe. He was still doing most of the attacking, but apparently was afraid of blowing up should he be aggressive earlier? Way to beat Rodriguez.

Armchair hindsight...we all do it. He knew how his legs felt, we don't...he went when he thought he had the best shot to make it to the finish and take time...

Contador is a living legend, he'll finish it. His talent and his will to win are enormous.

How many riders have a bigger desire to win than he does? I say no one of this era, of course he has the enormous talent but still.

He doesn't care about 2nd places, 2nd place is for people like AS who are happy with the money and the thought they did their best. He only cares about winning.

You become great in situations like this. In these kinda spots the champions will rise above the rest, Contador is already great but his greatness can take up another level if he finishes this.

Purito in the form of his life vs Contador not 100%(??).

It will be a great battle on the bola del mundo and maybe fuente de.

One thing is sure I believe in the greatness of Contador. Yes He Can !!!

Bjarne and Bertie seems to get along really well. I guess the support that Bjarne gave during Bertie's suspension earned him a lot of trust. (I would do the same if I were Bertie. You know your really friends when you are in bad time). Bertie seems to really fond of his boss, from few videos that I saw. I hope their partnership will last long *despite hamilton book, argh. another bombshell!*… I can't see Bertie goes to anyone, though. Bruyneel already burned his bridges by siding with Lance when it was Bertie's team.
