Reports on SBS tv in Australia that his bikes have been seized by the commissaires after the stage to be weighed.

Thoughts that he was using underweight bikes at different points and if that's the case, he will be disqualified from the race.

ow boy that's bad. forget about attacking, if he disqualified. But I do remember he changed bike as well on Giro 2011. I'm assuming he used the same set up and make sure it won't be underweight.... man drama, drama. First, froome taking illegal gel, now contador with changed bike.

The 3 grams he saved can't possibly be as helpful as an illegal gel on d'huez or an illegal aide bag on Ventoux. Not to mention, both of those fouls were blatant.

Seems if it is the case, a 30 second penalty or so would make more sense. Although, I am sure if it is true, it will be DQ.

Wait, is the bike in question the one he rode up L'Alpe or did he change earlier? If they're weighing the old bike, couldn't he just say his mechanic tinkered with it after the swap?

He should retire. He's not able to be a guy who fights for the podium or for a top 5, and so he screws also team tactics.

So why is he in 2nd place then midway through the third week, moron?

Riis wasn't too happy with Roche and Paulinho going on the attack. The guys called it themselves, he would have prefered other riders. Also, Kreuziger and Contador's attack on the descent was Contador's call. Gutsy.

They were warned before the stage, that bikes would be weighed.

Then they should have used a bike that met the rules (assuming they didn't). Still would be a travesty however IMO.

Is there anything at least semi-official about this bike weight thing? ITV didn't even mention it and they are taking every chance to pound on the guys opposite Froome.

It was the first bike, apparently that's why they did a bike change. But both bikes have been weighed and apparently there was a lot of commotion and yelling when Alberto was inside.

Who is the source of that?

To be clear, I have no idea what the yelling was about. There were many people & Alberto wasn't exactly in a good mood after his ride today.

I bet he was just ****ed of with himself today and he wanted them to just leave him alone. Probably just wanted to get into the team bus as soon as possible.
