Vino attacks everyone said:
Hernandez - Basso - Rogers - Kiser - Majka - AC. proper mountain leadout train.
Doubt all of them will be at the tour next year though
Basso won't, the others will.

Nice signature add :)

I'd add it too, but well, my signatures kinda full :D

Maybe you can remove the world cup reference, that'll leave some place :p

I see we're both huge klodi fans :D

Contador "Let's see what will happen in the Time Trial. Tomorrow is not hard enough"

How's tomorrow not hard enough? Decent climb I say.
He seems to overlook tomorrow's stage, do you know what it means? ;)

Contador is one of the biggest liars in the peloton. That stage thursday wasn't a surprise, he knew how good he was.

Just as well for its current conditions

In fact ... he is also right. It's long but not very hard. I expect attacks in the last 2-3 km in 8% sectors and gaps will short.

Agreed. I wont be surprised to see him test Froome. I think Contador only feels Froome can beat him in this Vuelta. Quintana I think will finish 3rd. Froome and Contador will take #1 and #2. We will see who is stronger in the mountains. Froome will take time in the TT, who knows how much yet and who knows if one of the big 3 will suffer in the mountains even for just 1 day, it would end the GC hopes. I imagine Froome, Contador, Quintana, Rodriquez and Valverde will be the last 5 to battle it out in the mountain stages.

Hoping that Contador has another good day. Expecting him to mainly mark his rivals today. The big test is stage 10, as I still have doubts over his knee and form.

Stage 6 told us that there is a possiblity Alberto wins this Vuelta. Today and tomorrow we will learn if the chance is rather small or big. I think if he matches Froome today then he will do very fine tomorrow.
I think those 7-8,5 % gradients are better suited to Froome. Ancares or Farrapona with constant 12 % better for Alberto.

Since when is Farrapona constant 12%?

Remember Etna? Alberto is at his best when he can grind away in the big gear on a 7% gradient:cool:

Yeah, when he is at 100 % then it doesn't make a difference. But I see Froome stronger (his main opponent besides Quintana) on 6-8 % than on 10+ %. His spinning style doesn't seem to work that great on the steep ramps. He will have a hard time winning a Giro I think.

Sorry, my mistake regarding Farrapona. It is just Ancares with constant 12 % . Farrapona suits Alberto because it is THE multi mountain stage.

Right, it's official

"it's not hard enough" translates directly from Contadorian to "I'm gonna attack like a madman tommorow" in English

He doesn't have the shape yet to push the big gear.

But he tried, and he is together with Quintana now the main favorite to win for me.

And Alberto would have won if not for the break....grrr :p
