Yay. Just watched the highlights without knowing result - brilliant ride and win from Alberto, I think I might slightly be in love with him - I would certainly love to buy him an espresso to celebrate.

Not followed the route, but are there many other mountain tests left?

“It’s about resting and recovering as much as possible. Right from the start, this year’s Vuelta has been really hard. After an initial very hot week and this one with constant climbing, we can definitely feel it. We must recover with our legs elevated, eat well and think about the five stages that remain. Tomorrow, the team will enjoy a bit of free time together, we’ll do one and a half hour of training, about 50 kilometers, including the mandatory coffee-stop”, finishes Alberto Contador.

Make sure the man gets his coffee break! :p

Thursday has two cat 2 climbs at the end of the stage....maybe Purito and Valverde will take several bonus seconds there. Saturday is the last big mountain stage with a cat 2, 3, 1 and esp climb. AC is ready.

When your body fat is close to 0% and you work outdoors, you tend to look old...

Yea, if you see these guys in person, it's a little a different than a photograph.
Lots of scars, no body fat and skin pretty beat up from all the sun exposure. Price of being a pro-cyclist.

Wow you are correct. I wonder what the other banner was....as I said it didn't have the red kite and no distance on it. I know I'm not crazy there was a banner :)

Probably mountain classification banner

If Nibali goes giro I would want him to just stagehunt in the tour. He doesn't need a third/fourth place

maybe he can rub shoulders with Roche. I bet Roche will be another borg-alicious with team sky :D

Yeah, I wish Alberto would go to the Giro... Nibali is so lucky with his opponents

Has he said he definitely won't do the Giro next year? Personally I'd like to see him try to trackle the Giro and the Tour.

Strong and clever effort yesterday...
He must be really happy, despite the Tour dissapointment...

Somehow he always manages to come back. A true fighter he is!!

He is the beauty AND the beast of cycling.....

“We talked in the morning and we felt that the best scenario would be if Froome attacked early and Alberto went with him,” Riis told Biciciclismo. “That way, we only had to follow the wheel.”

Thanks Froome, great job!!!! :D
