Other than not having won the Tour in the new era of cycling, a monument victory is the only item lacking in his palmares. Other great GT riders like Evans and Andy have notable one day victories.

Bergamo Alta is harder than what you see sell altimetry official.

Of course, it is not his ascent because climb is too short (2km) but the slopes are much higher than 10%.

I guess your definition of a great GT rider is 1 win? (and for one on your list that was by default) Many 'one and done' in cycling history. Only a few greats though. These guys aren't on that great list.

I don't think the last hill is hard enough for him to drop Valverde/Rodriguez, so he might have to try to go solo from 70km out. Which would be epic.

Good move from Alberto to finish the season late and start the next season late with a good base form from the winter. Giro - Tour here He comes
