:)

What a great season he is having. Impressed with Higuita too (sans scorpion kick), Colombia just keeps developing these brilliant climbers.

Well he's got a buffer now instead of just being dropped by the better climbers. Can't see what else he should do if he wants a serious shot at the win

Yeah, I do think Gregaard is out best bet though, he's been protected all day - now is the time to step up.

Turns out, he wasn't. Cort was actually better.
And apart from stage 1, Asgreen hasn't been outside top-10 on any stages (nor in the GC).

Can someone please enlighten me. Yesterday Magnus Cort wasnt able to follow the lead group on the last ramp and ended ud 44th on the stage. Today on Mt. Baldy he comes in 13th just behind Schachmann. How does that make any sense?

I heard Cort had been sick earlier in the week. Maybe today is the first day he has been completely healthy.

Unbelievably unlucky for Asgreen that this is the year with no time trial :( Mega performance by him throughout the week.

So maybe it's Pogacar who is the next Eddy Merckx? :D
There are 3 exceptional talents, only 3 years apart. Bernal, Pogacar & Evenepoel. Pogacar falls smack dab in the middle, being roughly a year and a half younger than Bernal and a year and a half older than Evenepoel. Whether any of them will stand test of time, we'll know in a few years. But Evenepoel certainly has his work cut out for him, if he wants to follow in Bernal's and Pogacar's footsteps.

(PS: personally, i've compared Evenepoel more with a mini-Indurain, in style)
