Position Overview:
Intern will work closely with the Amgen Tour of California and ING Bay to Breakers (January 2010 – June 2010)

Essential Job Functions:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Create ideas and initiatives that elevate the experience of both the Amgen Tour of California and ING Bay to Breakers
• Research of essential background information that directly correlates with both events
• Work with staff on event planning and execution
• Assist with social media initiatives
• Provide overall assistance with AEG Cycling and AEG 12K


Non-essential Job Functions:
In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by Supervisor.
• Ability to communicate with Local Organizing Committees in preparation for the Amgen Tour of California cycling race

Preferred Education: Undergraduate currently enrolled in a local University

Experience:
Background in event planning coupled with a passion for sports and events is preferred. Full time student enrolled in a minimum of 9 units. GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Students located in the greater Los Angeles area that show interest in Sports and Entertainment are strongly encouraged to apply.
