Red Bull doing what UAE usually does: weakening the competition's legs before an inevitable Remco's attack. Different favourite but the same brute force tactics.

QS did the same in classics when Remco was there. Visma does it with Vingegaard in stage races. It just a mentality change cause everyone now knows that if you're clearly the strongest that's the best strat.

It's true if a team is sure they have the strongest cyclist, who will tire less than the rest on given terrain. Otherwise it could play in hands of a stronger rival (if there's any).
