Twice when Van Vleuten attacked she stopped pedalling and then looked down, did she have problems with her gears or is that just how she behaves when she sits up?

That is usually the way she settles back into the saddle after an attack, no matter if it's been successful or not.

Vollering, Lippert and Van Vleuten (x2) also attacked before they hit the circuit, but things sadly calmed down later on. I guess It didn't help that Van Vleuten didn't have good legs.

Still the final played out in the most likely way, with an attack in the final two kilometres leading to victory.

absolutely, have Amstel been caught out by the cost of living crisis or something ? considering the copious amounts of booze on offer on the podium last year, seemed a poor show this year, though lets face the only one bothered to drink all of theirs was Tadej. though I know Lotte doesnt like beer, its better than the Lidl champagne surely ?
