FDJ are the real losers here after putting all their eggs in the Labous basket by having Kraak work for her and the rest of the team doing nothing behind.

Not a great result for UAE either, of course, but ELB could also have missed out on the podium in a battle between the favourites.

The losers are Labous, Persico and Pierse who under no circumstances could allow Bredewold and Van Dyck to gain a break before the Cauberg.

Only saw the last 6km. Mischa really strong, as was Puck it seems. They often train together.

What happened to all the favorites coming in together in G3? Just a tactical race and everyone had someone in front or so?
Sometimes happens, like the 2018 edition Chantal van der Broek-Blaak won, where the big guns have a bit of a truce if everybody's more or less happy with the composition of the group ahead. Pretty much every big team had somebody there, although I'm not convinced Canyon having Neve Bradbury isolated against 3x SD Worx riders, or Visma having Bunel and de Vries as their two riders up there, meant that was the right call given some of the other teams' weapons up the road.

But if Trek, Movistar, Visma, SD Worx, Canyon or FDJ aren't going to chase, there's not likely to be a great deal of impetus. Especially on a circuit that doesn't really offer very much to work with, and when most of those teams' domestique corps are depleted by committing people to the move up the road too.

Great to see some of the "outsiders" fighting it out in the front. Especially happy to see Puck in attacking mood. In the end SD Worx win again with Bredewold, even without Vollering they have so much talent.
