See, you're twisting MY words. I never said he deserved "accolades" (nor do I even demand that others offer him respect) for cooperating. It's merely the right thing to do, and beats the alternative chosen by 99% of those who have been caught. No medals awarded, but perhaps he can be awarded a few points for choosing the better path. Few choose it. I have no knowledge as to any kind of "understanding" that exists between he, USADA and the Feds, and neither do you. So how can you possibly know his motivation? But since he's made the right choice, I'm willing to say "good on ya" and cease kicking a man who is clearly down.

Being that few (if any) riders just get off the bike, call Travis on the phone and admit to using PEDs without first getting caught, I'm willing to settle for Papp's post-bust choices.

Beware of these:

No word twisting here. You accuse me of supporting omerta in cycling and I'm running out of ways to put it as simple as I can that I DO NOT.

Those glass picnic shelters sure can be hard on song birds. They fly right into the glass and break their necks. You might want to make some cardboard silhouettes of accipiters and paste on that glass. It works.;)

I appreciate your kind words but no, I am well aware of my many limitations and would never profess to know everything (just between you and me.)
I suppose that most convicted dopers had vowed to get clean and race fairly. It was just that one little inconveniently timed drug test that robbed them. Heck, some are so honest that they test positive a second time after serving a suspension.
Having let my cynicism get in the way, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt now.
I hereby formally apologize for thinking I knew more than I did. Boy, I sure feel silly.

He worked really hard to place himself in that position. I don't feel sorry for him at all.
But you are right about me not knowing anything about his dealings with the prosecutor. Fair enough. I have suspicions and nothing more. Just opinions...

Anyone can say things that exceed their knowledge. It takes a real man to apologize for it.

Went right over your head. That's ok.;)

So you weren't really apologizing? You are right, I thought you were. (in all honesty, I really did. I was kind of impressed) I guess you were just being a....well, everyone sleeps in the bed he makes, so I am not telling you anything your wife doesn't already know about you.

I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks for the kind thoughts and sleep tight.:) Don't let the chiggers bite.

Brinton is a cool guy. You saying he's involved in cheating?

Everyone knows this.

But darkcloud has no idea if there was any understanding between Mr. Papp and the prosecutors, so neither of you have any idea if he "ratted" people out strictly for his own gain. Pay attention to the disputed issue. It's called reading comprehension. Put the smartphone away and read.

Why don't you try asking him? He's here, you know.

And don't tell me what you think. Tell him. I'm not his mouthpiece.

was Papp supposed to freeze in time? He got popped..got in trouble..made some bad choices and he writes about them. Any omerta BS is silly. There is no honor or organization in the American racing scene. Joe is like anybody who gets arrested you have to what you need to in order to stay out of jail.

If you learn anything about drug dealers it's that they get arrested often. My ex coworker is now a detective, the 3 strikes laws have helped enormously..after the criminals 3rd strike they are left on the street on the "honor" system .The people they inform on are the only way they stay out of jail. I think Papp voicing his opinion is a good way for people to get perspective

Thoughtforfood,
Bravo! You are way more civil on the public boards than in PM's. Maybe you got the name calling out of your system. You get a GOLD STAR!;)

Anatawa bakayarou desu. Urusai! Honto desu.

Yeah, I know some of that too ;-)

You would not want me insulting you like that correct?
(BTW I only did that because I read one of your posts.) watshi no oksan wa nihon jin desu. "same - same"

I still do not understand why anyone would want Joe P. to be quiet on the issue of PED's. He sure seems to have a truck load of knowledge on the subject.

No man, not aimed at you. Just a little something I learned along the way. Not sure that I even spelled it/phrased it correctly. I can even say "watashi wa, totemo shinsetsu desu." That would be untrue as well.
I never intended to say that JP should not provide evidence for investigators. If my posts read that way then I communicated poorly. My fault.
I probably should have refrained from posting anything at all in this thread. I don't know Joe Papp but wish him nothing but the best as he works his way through this investigation. Yeah, I really do mean that.
Thoughtforfood, come on, blast me one good last time because I'm finished with the web-board war of words. Just refrain from the name calling. It adds nothing to your arguments.
Good bye

"Dude, if I'd wanted my own comeback, I would have kissed your mom. "

Classy response, in keeping with your other PM's.

Thanks for posting that! I really wanted to, but figured that I would get the kibosh if I did. However, you choosing to post what I sent you in a PM absolves me of responsibility! WIN/WIN!

No, it's just shows you for what you are. The administrators are free to post any PM that I have ever sent. Why don't you let them post the rest that you sent me in the last day or? It wouldn't make you look any better than the one I posted.
PM's really are meant to be private, but you are just a little TrollTool. Just shining the light.

Oh, the guy who comes on a thread and posts about things he doesn't know anything about, and slams a guy he doesn't really know anything about is exposing me! Shock! Gnashing of teeth! I am forlorn...(pouty face).

Hey, did you ever consider the hypocrisy of your little rant regarding me in light of your posts about JP?

Don't answer, its obvious.

Dang, I was kind of hoping you would be a more adept foe...

P.S. If you want to post my PM's, I want it completely understood that I PM'd them, and in no way endorse the idea that they should become part of the public record. Those were love letters to you only. Plus, I don't want to get banned for being associated with helping to facilitate their exposure to the pure innocents who post here. Seriously, if you post them, you did it. I had nothing to do with it.

But do note that I am not ashamed of any of their content. You chose to start the PM thing, and if you don't like hearing frank, direct answers sprinkled with colorful language, maybe you should PM someone who cares what you think. I don't.
