You cant criticise Frank if you are not going to criticise Contador for his offence. Angliru is always happy to bring to bring up Frank and the money in the Swiss account yet he will say nothing about Contador and his offence. You have to be consistent with your opinions on riders with this issue and not have one rule for one and then be like Angliru who has another rule for Contador and his spanish speaking riders. Hypocrite.

Just to clear that up. Contador didnt get banned by Spanish Federation. Do you think it would happen in Britain where someone like the Prime Minister David Cameron would come out with a statement publicly to try and get Mark Cavendish off the hook if something similiar happenned to him? Not a hope.

Replace Mark Cavendish with Andy Murray ;)

What is there to be said that hasn't been already regarding Contador's offense? I'll simply say that a penalty was in order but not the 2 year ban that was decided upon. I bring up Frank's offense because some Schleck fans here have conveniently forgotten that it ever occurred likely because he was cleared, it wasn't appealed (for whatever reasons) and it was all conveniently swept under the rug. When I see you and Roundabout criticizing the Schleck faction the way you do me then and only then will I assign a hint of credibility to each of you otherwise you're just as supposedly guilty as me of both being a hypocrite.

Come again, I am supposed to criticize Schleck and his fans first before I can post anything critical about you?

Really?

Maybe you should practice what you preach then and treat every rider similarly as opposed to attacking the riders you dislike and being quiet about the riders you support.

So a retired rider can hang on the wheel of a pro.
Hard working it's call:cool:

Thank you, for reminding us how much Phil & Paul brainwash their viewers.
Reminds me of the quote: "Andy Schleck is the people's champion, nobody likes Contador and nobody knows Evans."
What do they have to think following only ASO races and the classics (I don't know if they comment the Giro)? - Right. They think Andy is in the centre of cycling universe that is not unreasonable by and large. Contador is too controversial. Evans is not a media character at all. Surely, they support Andy.
 This is getting crazier and crazier...

Take it easy, I mean greediness for fame and victories rather than money.

Huh, sadly, i can not understand roundabout's posts sometimes, but when i manage to do that it is not in vain. :)

i treat Andy with great respect. brilliant rider, modest guy and real gentleman. though, his bowing and scraping towards Lance Armstrong confuse me a little bit and make me wonder if they eat from the same plate.

I see where you are going with that post. Funny man but maybe we could say the same thing with Vino and Gilbert on their training rides.;)

BTW I just checked over on that velorooms site and there is a user there called II Grillo saying he is out to wind up airstream in this thread. Be brave enough to come out and say it and dont hide out on another website.

I think you should take a look at the Samu Sanchez appreciation thread ;)
http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=835150&postcount=329

Besides, everyone on that site knows who I am, why would I be hiding?

Then you're smart enough to realize that those aren't my words and I'm just trying to make Airstream's hypocrisy clear here ;)

After all, I don't think Samuel Sanchez is a doper just because he's friends with Alberto. Airstream however does think that. So I'm afraid your little rant at me is not justified.

What's the difference between Samu being friends with Alberto and Andy being friends with Lance?

Yes, I want to see how he reacts. What's wrong with that? If you can't stand it when someone blames your guy then don't blame other guys.

I honestly don't see the problem, except Airstream's hatred towards Contador.

There is no problem in posting something towards airstream but there is a problem when you go on to another website and say you are intentionally winding him up to other people.

Take up your advise with regards to the bolded part.

And where did I blame someone again outside the clinic?

And that's not at all what I said by the way.

El Pistolero, my reaction is you have an unplowed field to work on your wittiness.
I've never renounced my position. Find someone else for altering one's opinion and trolling. Strictly speaking, your entire forum activity is based on it.

How so? You can't be a fan of Samu because he's friends with Contador, but you can be a fan of Andy who's friends with Lance Armstrong?

Hypocrite alert!

You're pathetic mate. Your post in the Samu thread was a cheap shot and you know it. What goes around comes around.

I didn't alter your opinion one bit, it's the exact same thing. The only difference is that it includes Andy this time around ;)

But does Contador being controversial have anything to do with whether he is likeable or not?

Don't bother to reply, I mean, it's already clear to me (and everyone else with common sense) that P&P hate Alberto because he beat their guy Lance.

Take it easy, I mean greediness for fame and victories rather than money.

That's true except for the underlined.

He always wants to win. That also makes it easy to be a fangirl. At least I can see him perform the whole season.

Im not sure but didn't pnp begin to respect contador, at least in their commentary, when he attacked on the telegraph. i remember the theme of what i heard and read in the last couple of days was that a lot of those who bood him in beginning took their hats off in respect to the show he put on. whether that was true or not i dont know.

:D:D:D

In general outside of his hometown, Contador was never really liked. A lot of people booed him in his last TDF win.

Contador did beat Lance, but not a prime Lance. Technically Lance beat Contador when he was in his 30s if you think about it.

Both are great riders, but Lance is among the legends now, and Contador has a lot to prove especially after being banned. I think Contador will come back hungry. If you think about it by the time AC comes back, Cadel and Menchov will be a couple of years older, and unless Andy improves, I can see AC winning a few more tdf titles because all the greats will be a bit on the old side when he gets back.

You heard it here first: Menchov and Evans will age 2 years in a few months time.

We need a face-palm emote on this forum.

I stand by what I said. You are a hypocrite to be going around bringing up Frank Schleck and his links with Fuentes and then say nothing about Contador and his offence. I have criticised Frank in the past with regards to this. Funny enough I can show you a post where i responded to you in the clinic where I said Frank wasnt in my good books either. So your hypocrisy claim towards me is not worth the paper it is written on. Just read my post here:

http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=809748&postcount=1470

You call me a hypocrite. You got a good sense of humour alright. I can show you posts where I have criticised Basso, Valverde, Di Luca, and Vino if you want them also. Also you said Contador didnt deserve a 2 year ban. Of course, you probably only wanted a year ban as he could of ridden straightaway in February if CAS decided to hand down that verdict. Thats a ban that suits you perfectly as a fan. I am consistent with my opinions on this issue so you should try it yourself baby.

You and Roundabout are both correct and please accept my sincere apologies.
