You can see that Andy doesn't know how to handle the yellow jersey. He doesn't know how to look pretty in front of the camera. That's something you learn by experience.

Of course, one can doubt if Andy is actually capable of looking pretty.

That's not Prudhomme, it's Hinault... But yeah, he looks happy!

I knew there was something different about him... Thanks for pointing it out.

Now I'm shocked. Prudhomme not together with Andy being super happy?

Also I always thought Hinault liked Alberto... but well, I was wrong apparently. I should have known that most Frenchies hate Alberto.

What is that Hinault?

noooooooooooooooooo

Contadors major fan among the legends and the guy who insulted Schlecks pathetic racing calendar as "if me and eddy had raced that way wed still be racing" or some such.

What are you doing badger?

Shame on you. For the lack of adequate arguments you simply roll to banal hatred. Hinault knows better whether he should smile or not. Excessive idealism must be addressed towards all the riders, not only Andy.

The jersey is absolutely standart and looks so only probably because of such a camera focus. Although, seems like before 2006 MJ had more lime coloring, now it is intensely yellow

The logo is the same as the french rugby team unless I am mistaken, which could be considered quite trendy, after all Rugby and Cycling are quite similar;)

That marks another dark murky day in cycling ... Everyone start posting about other things a lot so this is moved to the bottom of the history books.

The curse of the hand me down yellow jersey is in effect, everyone move far away from it.

Well, in all fairness, as it has been discussed numerous times, by page 2 you cannot differentiate between these appreciation/depreciation threads without looking at the title.

No because Alberto looks better in that colour. The really bright yellow really pops out because of his beautiful skin tone and his dark hair and dark eyes make it even better.

Blonde, blue-eyed, pale persons wearing bright yellow makes those persons look even paler.

When I see posts like these criticising Andy for taking the jersey I just laugh. Only in cycling is what I say.

When I see this sort of attitude I just say the sport of cycling has got the champions it deserves in Armstrong and Contador.

You're completely right. A sport like this needs great champions like Alberto.

To celebrate today's historic event I am throwing a big BBQ party at my house. Lots of beer and champagne and 100% local and guaranteed clen-free steaks on the grill. Dress code: yellow. PM for details and adress

You took me up wrong there.

I mean that quite seriously and in a critical of Armstrong and Contador. I said when we see fans criticising Andy for taking the jersey(who has done nothing wrong whatsoever) and the same people same nothing about the guy who caused this farce, cycling has got the champions it deserves.

This sport is rotten to the very roots if that what it has become. Thats what I mean by when I say only in cycling would the fellow who caused this farce get an easy ride.

I know perfectly well what you meant.

So you prefer champions that gained a championship by first continuing a farce by taking the championship after the farce was enured for almost two years. Then, on top of it said champion is good friends (who supposedly vacation together) with the rider who won it farcical and all?

All I see is a farce.

"It's good to receive this jersey, but it doesn't change much. It doesn't feel like a proper victory", says Schleck. "It's not the same as winning the Tour on the road and taking the yellow jersey to the Champs-Elysées. This is not a celebration, although I'm happy that this ceremony was set up and all the people that I care for are present."

"I won two stages in that Tour and I was wearing the yellow jersey for a couple of days. Everybody who saw that Tour witnessed how Alberto and myself were battling it out for the overall win. He beat me on the road and it wasn't my decision to strip him from that victory. I'm the official winner of that Tour now, but I'm hungry for a victory on the road."
