Not a bad day from Andy, I expected a smaller gap to the winner, but I expected a smaller gap from everyone else too, so really he rode pretty well. Probably can get some freedom in the later stages when Sky's workers are getting a bit tired from the 3 week effort, hopefully we can see him battle for a stage win!

Really hope he rides the Vuelta regardless if Frank is there or not.

What a ride from Andy today. Loving it so far. Comfortably in the Froome group on the last climb and responding to all attacks right from the front.

One of his best rides in a long time. Just glad he is able to hang in there with the best.

Andy looked good today. Nice ride andy. Keep it up. And it's also nice that I didn't hear his whining about everything. He just kept everything modest and positive.

Would be nice to see Andy in good shape again in the Alps climbing with the best and attacking. Looks like it might be a more realistic perspective than we though, judging from todays stage. :)

Andy looked good today. When Froome went after Quintana Andy followed with ease. Curious to see what he can do on Ventoux and in the Alpes.

i would say some top-5 climbing performances in the last week based on what he's done so far. as i said before the tour, with every day raw talent becomes more and good preparation less important.

Andy has convinced me.

You read first here. Andy is going to reborn and will decide who wins Le Tour in the Alps. Serious post;)

At the end of today he is down 4 minutes to Froome and sitting in the 15th position in the GC. 3 min gap between him and the 20th position rider and 6.30 mins between him and 25th position.

The way he was riding before the tour most people were happy if he could finish in Top 25. Lets say he loses 4 mins between the 2 TTs - even then if he simply rides like how he rode today he's be there comfortably. And am sure he would be pretty satisfied as well.

After seeing him ride today a top 10 finish also cannot be ruled out. That would be simply fantastic!

Andy is beginning to look more like himself. That was a large group over the final climb, but staying in the top 25 riders in these past two stages, and even climbing into the top 15 for the moment, is more than I really expected. Time-wise, he's closer to 2nd place than 20th. ;)

Edit: saneguy just said the same thing, oops

Andy looked very good today.
Over the last climb only a couple of riders looked better, but my impression is that he was feeling the best. At least it looked like he was feeling better and better during the course of the stage, while the others were feeling worse or more - less the same.

hm.. that might be contador's role though. Like what he did in 2011 TDF.
