Really hope he's not retiring. People haven't gone easy on him, but his injuries have been really, really bad, it's super hard for everyone to get back from that, and Schleck was never the strongest mentally.
I hope for him he can find a job he enjoys and doesn't end up in continuus disappointments

I sincerely hope this is not the end of Andy's career, but if it is, I will remember how awesome he was at his peak, and I think you guys should remember the entertainment he has provided us with during his career (Galibier 2011 obviously stands out) as well.

Its pretty sad if he is retiring,injuries the main reason but i do wonder what effect winning the Tour had on him when Contador won it on the road.It was his lifelong dream and then to his mind he achieved his dream not in the way he would have liked or imagined,think it was a heavier mental blow than people maybe realised at the time.

I'm calling him to come out and announce that trek have signed him for a 1 yr contract. However he is not targeting the tour and targeting the giro and the Ardennes. And it's now or never. If he performs they will extend his contract if not he will retire.
In all seriousness tho, I think he will retire. Shame as I always wanted him to get back to full strength. He was an exciting rider to watch.

A lot of people just don't care for him. Even if he had just won a GT, Worlds, Lombardia, and was in good health, lots of folks would still be dishing it out, and not unhappy about a possible retirement.
I never like to see a rider end his career prematurely due to injury either, but I won't miss Andy. I do wonder, though, if he and his brother have any regrets about the unceremonious way in which they left Bjarne's team. On so many levels, things never did quite work out as they had hoped. Obviously.

Time to retire. Hope the injuries recover to the extent whereby he can still ride his bike.
I'll remember him as the only rider in nigh on the last 30 years to win the Tour and a Monument. Some achievement.

Out of curiosity why is worlds not considered a monument. It has the history and has a lot of prestige for winning. Not to mention creates a lot more interest than what lombardia does and it's at the same time of year.
