Didnt he just say yesterday that he had quit enough races this year and that he need the miles for the Tour? ouch ouch ouch. Am not a huge Andy fan but would have preffered to see him in top shape in the Tour to spice things up in the mountains.

He might as well skip the Tour and focus on the Vuelta to give us a great show. Sadly he wont dare.

He did. I think this may be more about a lack of motivation than a true debilitating injury. I guess we'll know more in the next couple of weeks. I think it would be great if he rode the Vuelta as well, but I doubt we will get that lucky.

Schleck is obviously injured and so far behind on time that both make it better to abandon.

I can't believe some of the posts here. The guy leaves a lot to be desired in the way of a complete GC rider, but things are just on the down now. In terms of the TdF I don't now if it makes that much of a difference. He will have to attack in the mountains insanely without much hope of gaining enough time to make up for the ITT fail.

These brothers have often just shown up for July.

A month from now it could be Wiggins who's suffering. I hope not, he been good all year and that's to be admired, but he's yet to ride a GT?

Historically Wiggo has alway's had a least one bad day in the Tour.

This time he might actually be hurt, because no matter how lazy he is, he needs the race days before the Tour, and this will only hurt his chances. Maybe the crash was worse than we thought.

Samu may be a carrot, but he didn't pull his SchleckChute after his Dauphine crash. Is the difference in the extent of the injuries or in the mental fortitude?

Cheers,

You will laugh but I treat the Dauphine outcome pretty positively. The thing I feared most since October was what's gonna be if Evans will be as hellishly strong at TT as Wiggins. He definitely won't be so it's fully up to Andy. If he reaches his peak as it usually occurs, he will take the Tour.

2nd? That's a little presumptive, but would be fun.

What I have to say about my expectations for good form next month belongs in the clinic. His white pallor is looking a little paler than usual.

I think he is saving a lot for next month.

schleck is full of himself and doesn't have the palmares to back it up. he doesn't appear to get along with management and doesn't have the presence of a team leader. he's more worried about his brother. and he can't TT.

not my idea of a champion.

....that's Andy Schleck Tour de france "Champion" to you pal! ..... or is it Champignon? ....and SRAM gear shifter extraordinaire.... SRAM-pignion??
