1) This is an article written in a Danish paper, with Danes as the intended target. Most casual Danish cycling fans are predisposed to dislike the Schlecks ('traitors' and all that) and will take every possible excuse to keep disliking them. Obviously, the paper knows that and panders to the prejudice.

Yes and no. U gotto remember that Andy rode for Riis in 2010 so the "victory" was on a Danish team, and hence also Riis's. Also alot of casual Danish cycling fans (the july-fans so to speak) still cheer on Andy (the sweet guy next door) where as Contador doesnt come around quite as charming and he doesnt spek English, so for alot of casualt Andy is still their hero. But its very divided. Alot also despise him for the reasons u outline.

Actually regarding the Armstrong musette, he was riding too close to the fans considering the width of the road on Luz Ardiden. No fault but his own for his crash in that incident as was Andy's chain incident. Your blinders just won't let you see it as such.

By the way excuse me if I misinterpret what your post(s) intent may actually be. I can't always understand exactly what you are trying to convey. Sometimes it's clear as day and other times it's not.

i'm so over it just because everything regarding schleck sinks in hypocrisy, exactly in hypocrisy rather than in likes and dislikes. riders are to blame, my rider's main opponent is a devil and i'll eagerly bash him cos that's soo enternaining and everyone who disagrees... can't understand it cos his blinders don't let him see it as such. it's a perfect stance. great job.

Andy didn't need a good prologue cos he smashed everybody on the Madeleine and Tourmalet. Slipping chain was a little dole to Sanchez and Menchov that they could win back something.

If i'm trying to be objective, i have to say it looks like a fanboy and a fangirl of different cyclist are whining about each other, while refusing to accept good arguments (although the amount of good arguments is very small)

That's great to hear. Still you imply that you aren't guilty of the very same attitudes that you're applying to those that don't agree with your pro-Andy perspective, as if you're the one taking the high road in this discussion.

you're a better man than me then. I have a similar motivation to yours as the reason behind my perpetual critique of the Schlecks. In the English language media we have been and continue to be force fed the Schlecks as the Polly-Purebreads of the sport and successor to the throne of media favorites that Armstrong passed on. Add to that the never ending material that they supply with their lack of media savvy and to me in the end it's all just entertainment.

You felt the need to balance out the negative vibe that is flowing through this forum and you should be commended for that. I've tried to scale back my
critiques of Andy and Frank but a leopard doesn't change its spots over night (or something like that). Give me time to reform. It's a slow process.

It would help if someone would give the brothers some pr tips so that they wouldn't be such easy targets.
