Much as we try to deny it, we still live in a class-dominated society, where the rich get the privileges and the rest of us have to make-do.

People run over people everyday. Most times it is an accident. A soccermom doesn't see another persons child riding or walking. Everybody is heartbroken. This guy left the scene..he left the smashed cycling doctor on the ground to die. Maybe the law allows him to walk for his intial action of crashing into the bicycle but a grown man that drives away should get his balloon knot loosened in prison. Everybody makes mistakes but leaving the guy to die is unforgivable. As a young man in N.Az a girl pulled her car into my path and I t-boned her and ruined my prized Suzuki 750 with less than 2000 on the odometrer. After impact she got out and started screaming "Oh my god! I am sorry, don't die,I am sorry" she repeated it over and over a million times. Small mountain town..cops and an ambulance showed up..she passed out and the cop asked me if she could be transported to the hospital first. We both sat there and laughed as we waited for my wagon to get there. The DA,police and judge who didn't even make him pay court costs should rot in hell.

disappointing outcome :(

Should be banned from driving until sleep apnea resolved! (as indicated by a previous poster). Hopefully civil damages will be sought... and obtained in spades...

There is talk of pressuring Quiznos to rethink holding a stage of their 2011 pro race in Vail. A growing number of cyclist are demanding they move that stage elsewhere or face a boycott themselves.

There are also calls for this DA to be removed/disbarred.

Denver area TV stations have investigative news teams researching this case.

Heck. people are even calling for part-time Aspen resident Lance Armstrong to speak up about this legal decision.
