Fortunato
And Bayer, Kepplinger, Sutterlin, Petit.

Tiberi is highly regarded inside the team so I'm confident he wasn't forced to ride Dauphiné. He probably wanted to test himself as well. Two more racing days won't change much in the long run.

Not unexpected but not a bad data point to have. Is anyone else doing Dauphine after Giro?
Kepplinger, Sütterlin, Fortunato, Bayer and Petit.

Curiously, half of those are Bahrain riders but they were successful with Haig doing this double last year.

He impressed me in the finale. That explosive finish is supposed to be bad for him, and he did very well.

It's a shame that his first time trial was disappointing.

What did he say in his post-stage interview with Eurosport (in Italian)? There was also a Rai1 microphone, so I guess they have it too.

If he's not too sore we might finally see him attacking in the third week.
That was the first time in ages that I agreed with Beppe Conti, he said that at this stage he should try to win a stage (without loosing time before) because that is worth more than a top 10 finish outside the top 5.

Does anyone know what's going on this Vuelta? He looked pretty good in Poland and all of a sudden he's completely dead.

No info after he shipped 15 minutes the other day. Possibly the Vuelta is just not a good GT for him?
Let's see if he manages to get in a couple of breaks now that the team has lost the jersey.

there's a rest day interview on Bici.pro. He was a bit sick after Poland, but it sounds like he mostly is just tired from a long season, and doesn't have much left

That sounds weird. Especially the fatigue part, since he had less than 50 race days when he blew up this Vuelta. But he has had a few periods of illness and recovery this season, so perhaps that's what's taking its toll as well.
