Apparently Oman has some 2,000m climbs, but at this time of the year the peloton doesn't want to be doing that sort of climbing. Interesting that there is an ITT on the final stage, the smart money would have to be on Spartacus.

was meant to start 2pm gmt, but at 3pm steven de johng was still twittering pictures of fireworks. The oman twitter said at 3pm that the opening ceremony had just started.
