Can't find any clearer information on it. I find it unlikely that he'd have a comfort break within the last hour of the race. Be interesting to watch though. Team Sky are young - it's all a learning experience at the moment. EBH is an easy guy to cheer for though - like him a lot.

Gabriel Rasch also mentions to a norwegian cycling site that EBH had taken a leak when the crosswinds started. It was apparently when there were around 50km left of the stage so it was a little earlier than the last hour of the race.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that it was Garmin who attacked when EBH stopped for a leak

That will be hilarious if it is true. Garmin need to collude with Katusha to stick a knife into Sky every time an opportunity presents itself.

With the article updated it sounds like it was Cervelo that attacked during the nature break, but based on the report it sounds like the attack wasn't totally unjustified given the reports on the actions of sky.... dramatic stage nonetheless!

Don't worry. They will turn the bus' mood lighting to calm cerulean and all the worries will melt away.

and still Farrar fails to win..:p;)

Farrar is a second rate sprinter. If everything goes right then he can win occasionally, but mano a mano with a top sprinter and he is screwed.

Who is the rod captain for Team Sky in Oman? Someone is clearly not doing a good job. Either the road captain is at fault for arguing with the other teams or the road captain is at fault for not stopping the other riders from arguing with other teams.

It seems that Sky had no reason to expect anyone to help chase the breaks that early in the stage. They had the jersey and they won the last stage. Perhaps they could make a case for getting help the last 20-25km if the berak still had a big gap but not before that.

Farrar is an interesting rider. A tidy sprint, and an ability to suffer over some hills. But, he's no Cavendish (I say this even though I don't particularly like the little guy). If it's a flat finish and Cavendish is there, 19/20 times it's his. In that respect, everyone else is a 2nd rate sprinter.

My wish for Farrar is that he'd focus on the Classics. He'd make far more of a statement backing up his German win with Paris-Tours, Lombardy and maybe Roubaix (asking a lot...) I guess Ghent is now a full-blown classic, too, so throw that in the list also.

I agree to that. But this is relatively speaking.

One of Farrars problems as far as I've seen is that he's a little meek in the fight for positions leading up to the sprints. I think it was in the Giro or the Tour where he was simply just moved off the wheel of his own lead out by someone. It's one thing to lose the wheel of someone else but when others can simply take the wheel of your own lead out from you then you have some learning to do.

Then why did he beat Cavendish mano a mano at last years tirreno adriatico?

The "if everything goes right he can win occasionally" covers that. Read more carefully next time.

The current Team Sky team lacks an experienced veteran who is respected in the peloton and can make unselfish decisions on the road. Obviously, that veteran was supposed to be Arvesen. EBH normally prefers to just keep Arvesens wheel all the time, and he has said that Arvesen is his "mentor". I am confident that Kurt wouldn't have let EBH do that decisive pee-break, and I also think that the other teams (especially Saxo Bank) would've had more respect for Sky if arvesen were there...

Will do, but I'm still curious to find out just how low you rate him?

Unless Cavendish (and perhaps I should include Greipel here) is the only top sprinter(s) in the world, I have to say I disagree.
