Anyone recognise This Rider/Team From 2000 TdF

Hi guys,

Back in 2000, I hadn't realised how great the Tour de France was, but I happened to be living in Paris, so I went along to watch the final stage.

I took a photo of a rider, but I have no idea who he is.

Anyone recognise this guy or know what team he was riding for?

Guy from Vini Caldirola-Sidermec, no doubts about that. Maybe one of the Romans Vainsteins leadout-man's

Vini Caldirola-Sidermec started stage 21 with these riders:
181 Romans Vainsteins
182 Massimo Apollonio
185 Roberto Conti
189 Guido Trentin
188 Mauro Radaelli

The guy in the picture is not Romans Vainsteins (he had a black cap). So it's one of the others. Try to identify the number.

I'll try to get a hold of a magnifying glass this week and see if I can make out the last digit of his number.

PS I typed this before I saw the last post.

The best I can blow it up, the last digit is not a 5 or an 8.

Doesn't really look like a 9, unless the loop is really small.

So that leaves us with a 1 or a 2.

If Raddone is sure it's not Vainsteins, then it must be Massimo Apollonio.
