Those climbs look massive on the profile but the gradients aren‘t threatening in these smaller races where the fight for the break isn‘t so fierce.

yes, but his climbing looks much worse than usual this year, so every type of climb can be a problem. But sure, it'll mostly depend on how it's raced, and most teams won't be interested in a tough start anyway.
