i think 'totally fit for purpose' is what you actually mean.

Reedie doing exactly what he was appointed for. Shoving (British) doping under the rug.

Well World Anti Doping Agency it sure aint.

You guys are right, there is no money in catching top athletes!!!

WADA admitting testing is a joke.

WADA @wada_ama

2/2...most doping cases are in fact 'non-analytical' such as from investigations, possession, complicity etc

Can someone tell where athletes get their moral compass not to dope?

The real competitive athletes, amateurs and pro's alike, I haven't seen any signs of any kind of moral compass among any of them, with some very odd exceptions (Gilles Delion ;) ).

To be fair, I think among amateurs you're still gonna find a good percentage of clean athletes. Not necessarily for moral reasons though. More like for health reasons and/or simply because they're not getting in contact with PEDs. But among pros? Not a chance. The PEDs are there. The pressure is there. The benefits are there. The risk is low. And even if you have something of moral compass, you'll soon be told that "everyone does it", so that its not really a moral issue anyway.

btw, the greatest trick Vaughters/Brailsfraud et al. have pulled recently, imo, is to make (parts of) the press believe that doping is more rampant among amateurs than among pros.

I know D1ck Pound is no longer head of WADA, but "The two sides of *** Pound"..

http://sportsscientists.com/2016/02/renee-anne-shirley-the-two-sides-of-***-pound/

Are we surprised, his backing of Coe was unbelievable, but sport is a business and a cesspit.

"A whistleblower who uncovered systemic doping inside Russia's track team told "60 Minutes" he sent 200 emails and 50 letters about the cheating to the World Anti-Doping Agency, which told him it didn't have the power to investigate inside the country.
The WADA-appointed commission that looked into the Russian doping scandal said Rodchenkov, who is now living in an undisclosed location in the United States, was "at the heart" of the Russian doping conspiracy."

And people think that there are athletes out there performing clean? How? Why would you perform clean in an environment that makes it virtually impossible to achieve as the culture is to dope and those that refuse will be ostracised!

WADA another joke from pro sport.

Sir Craig Reedie "I can only assume a large % of the Russian team in Rio will be clean"

that's what real fans want to see, the head of WADA 'assuming'..........

what a joke!

So the Russians, as of now, will be in Rio? That's not going to fly well with the NYT, the Americans and the Brits. Time to speed up the investigation on the doping in Sochi. Find all those dirty bottles, cocktail glasses, pumps, needles and whatever else was used.

Testing down but wages are rising. Nothing to see...........

A good gig if you can get it; lunches, travel, good salary an occasional consultancy report to write for additional fees, then provide a headline statement on doping - "we will find you and test". Reedie has to be the weakest sports administrator currently, he is an embarrassment.

10 years since Puerto and despite a massive amount of demand and evidence it remains a cycling only "scandal".

Proving WADA is useless.

That is professional sport in a nutshell.

Where were WADA in this?

WADA not fit for purpose.
