Please don't omit that statement from Bruyneel that, for them, this case (the Landis affair) is closed. Quite rich.

They are going with the "if I act like it is nothing, then it must be nothing" strategy.

Armstrong must have a pretty low opinion of his groupies intelligence level if hs thinks they will swallow anything he says.

Or a very accurate opinion of their devotion level...

I guess he doesn't realize his boy will be cooperating with the Federal investigation.

Will you cooperate with a Federal Prosecutor if they investigate this?

Absolutely.

Caught this one the other day just before comeback 2.0:

Armstrong, who has faced constant doping allegations despite never testing positive, is also keen to prove he is clean and hopes by racing the Tour again his four children will read about it.

"I'm doing this for my kids," he says in the book.

"With news so accessible these days on the web, they'll be able to read any story they want. And I don't want them growing up and reading all these things about me and doping."

I feel sorry for his kids. I am not saying that to be mean. I really feel sorry for anyone who has to grow up with that kind of parent.

You're fooling yourself if you think you know what kind of a parent he is. Have you spent time with his family? We can judge him on cycling, but there's no basis to judge his parenting.

He is a narcissist. You are blind if you don't see that. Narcissists don't make good parents. Sooner or later, his children will come between him and something he wants, and then, they will be expendable emotionally. He already left one family for the famous life.

Sure there is. He's had four kids with three different women, only one of which he actually bothered to marry, and that was temporary. In between that he's been dating hollywood pop-tarts and cougars. I'm not a purist or a moralist, but that's not being a good father.

It's kind of hard to get that nasty when it comes down to kids. One can only hope that his narcissism forces him to think that they are the example of his legacy in this world and maybe they get a little better than you portray. OTOH, you could be spot on. Let's just keep a good thought for them.

This is not a normal way to treat people where you are from?

"I'll kick their asses," he told author John Wilcockson in a conversation soon after last year's Tour while discussing his planned comeback. "The Tour was a bit of a joke this year. I've got nothing against Sastre … or Christian Vande Velde. Christian's a nice guy, but finishing fifth in the Tour de France? Come on!"

From where Lance comes from

""I was at a celebration of India's Independence Day," he told reporters, "and a Frenchman came walking up to me and started talking to me about Iraq, and it was obvious we were not going to agree. And I said, 'Wait a minute. Do you speak German?' And he looked at me kind of funny and said, 'No, I don't speak German.' And I said, 'You're welcome,' turned around and walked off." ""
--Tom DeLay..former Republican congressman from Texas currently under indictment.

and then there is this from P.J. Oroarke 1989

The parallels between cycling and "professional wrestling" are becoming horrifyingly more apparent.

Maybe I missed something, Did Garmin chase down George because he testified in a court case that Lance's "Coach" had helped him get EPO?

Armstrong chased down Simeoni, and Eki spit on him, for one reason. To try to shut him up. To enforce the Omerta. I am sure we can all agree there is little ethical about that.

no garmin hunted down hincapie because hincapie is a friend of lance and your enemy's friend is also your enemy.
