"Lance has been pretty bummed. He really likes riding his bike," said Linda Armstrong. "But he got in trouble doing it. So I thought maybe he could try skateboarding. Some of the other neighborhood kids do that."

:D" Armstrong says the skateboard is "pretty sweet" and that he was using it out on the driveway for an hour already.

"I can jump and almost land back down on the skateboard already," he said. "I can't believe I ever rode bike. Bikes are for little kids. I'm way too old for that now."

The one-time winner of seven Tour de France titles says he is especially excited about all the people who skateboard.

"I've seen them hanging out outside the 7-Eleven," he said. "They're pretty badass. They smoke and everything. I heard doing drugs is cool in skateboarding, so that's totally awesome. I wonder if these guys ever tried EPO."http://www.sportspickle.com/news/14419/lance-armstrongs-mom-buys-him-a-skateboard

That's hilarious! That website has a few other good ones too :D

Armstrong’s Fortune Likely to Withstand Doping Charges

By PAUL SULLIVAN
Published: October 26, 2012

LANCE ARMSTRONG may have been stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and barred from Olympic sports for life after a report from the United States Anti-Doping Agency detailed how he used performance-enhancing drugs to win cycling races and coerced teammates to do the same.

But he is still a rich man, with an estimated net worth of $125 million. Independent advisers and lawyers say he is likely to hold on to most of that wealth — though he may have to give up an estimated $3.9 million in prize money he won in the Tour and pay some hefty legal bills....

... Mr. Herman said he expected many people to try to sue Mr. Armstrong. I imagine this group could include the dozens of cyclists, spouses and trainers whom Mr. Armstrong is said to have bullied into silence. That could chip away at his wealth, too, but Mr. Herman intimated that he did not think these people would have much success because Tailwind, the corporation that owned the team, was “the contracting party.”

This is another way of saying that Mr. Armstrong put a layer of legal protection between himself and the money. And if nothing else, it shows that he has had good legal counsel over the years.

It might withstand lawsuits and short term clawbacks but is it likely to withstand his ego? I doubt it.

That's usually what causes people to spend all of their money. His cash-flow is what took an huge hit in the last 12 days. Even the Livestrong -> CSE -> Demand media shuffling of money that ends up with him is almost certainly gone. Does he have financial advisors? Sure. But what do you think the conversation will be when his financial advisor tells him the obvious:

"you own a lot of stuff and your monthly expenses are high. You don't have the money to continue traveling in a private jet, or to own 4 expensive homes. You are going to have to cut back on your lifestyle."

Anyone think he's just going to take that in stride?

Armstrong will survive financially, but he'll wake up every day knowing the prefix "disgraced" will be forever attached to his name.

You are probably right, but he will experience a financial demotion and will have to change his day to day habits with no hope of rebuilding social status.

For a sociopath and narcissist there is nothing worse than public humiliation.

I hope for the following:

1. Livestrong dumps him completely over the next 1-2 yrs.
2. Livestrong changes their name to 'Liveclean' or something along those lines.
3. LS donors (class action), TdF, SCA, Nike, USP, former riders, employees... sue Lance
4. Floyd (who is rather quiet right now) continues with his whistleblowers / Qui Tam action.
5. The Italians ADA and police will publish Shumi's documents (riders training methods, physio data, payments)

His 125 Mil will diminish pretty fast.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation is the charity. "Livestrong" is a brand that Lance Armstrong profits from. Livestrong is also purposely brand-confused with the charity.

Further confusion with LA stepping down as Chairman of the Board, curious and questionable that he still sits on the Board.

With a brand new bio that has been cleansed of any cycling references, could be that now he's just another guy:

http://www.livestrong.org/Who-We-Are/Our-Strength/Our-Leaders/Board-of-Directors

The obfuscation is shameful and reveals their desperate efforts to perpetuate the myth that they have a purpose beyond fleecing victims.

The third paragraph reveals some clumsy editing:

"In 2005 and devoted himself to his work advocating for cancer survivors."

What went between 2005 and devoted?

CashStrong.

This is most disturbing. Think how many people purchased "Livestrong" brand apparel, etc. and thought they were supporting a cancer charity by doing so.

They were deliberately mislead.

That is the whole point. You thought Armstrong and his cronies give a damn about other people? Not a chance.

That's interesting. They have removed any wording that would indicate that he was ever a professional cyclist. Odd that they just left the sentence like that though.

The biggest problem is cash flow and that income has now dried up.

He doesn't have 125m in cash. He has earnt around 125m in cash and assets during his career.

SCA is a piece of p!ss. There are more worrying legal battles to worry about and he knows it.

Strategy and planning will be key to get out the other side not in prison and with some fortune intact.

I'd say this will cost him 50m-75m total.

He can't admit to anything until he knows the scope of what he's dealing with.

Life's lesson: it's better to sell a bullsh!t product than bullsh!t alone.

USA is the wealthiest and most litigious country in the world.

Persons who have been misled and financially burnt by Armstrong, ie like Livestrong donors, will be lining up on principle to have a crack at him.

Already some lawyers must be pondering how to convert this angst into a class action.

I checked about a week ago; since then they have removed any mention from the page called "Lance's Story". Amazing.

In fact the US is one of the poorest countries in the world if you take the debt per capita into account...

Luxemburg on the other hand is the richest per capita ;-)
