TDF 1986 La Vie Claire:

5 stage wins with 3 riders and 6 riders in the top 25 (1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 12th, 23rd), 4 Classifications (General, Mountains, Young Rider, and Team) ...and no internet butthurt.

This thread badly needs some Rule #5.

Yeah coz La Vie Claire were clean as a whistle and the internet was so ubiquitous.

You must hate that people are no longer hoodwinked, that their eyes are open to the realities of professional sport.

This was posted in the Fuglsang PRR thread, but it belongs in the clinic instead:

Now he is 64 kg, he's got "butter" in his hips, he lost his upper chest fat (which he'd accumulated because he grew up with a dominating mother), his breathing capasity had increased 10-15%, Scarponi and Nibali couldn't drop him on Teide. Astana had an osteopath come from France to have a look at all their riders on Teide and only Fuglsang was perfect. All thanks to his new personal coach, Inge-Jarl Clausen.

https://brukere.snl.no/3356

Pre-emptive Fuglsang coverup narrative deployed. He should be flying in July.

Is Inge-Jarl Clausen a 'beard' as Astana have/had Ferrari on board......

He claims to have worked for Garmin: with Daniel Martin, and with Manchester City and Everton FC and the Austrian football team. Holistic, vegeto therapy, Wilhelm Reich, epigenetic regeneration, Hocus Pocus.

"- We are building a completly new body and a new personality. This is a Norwegian breathing technique developed by the University of Bergen. I call it the epigenetic regeneration, says Clausen." :D

"- In one of the tests they had on the slopes Scarponi and Nibali tried to drop Jakob. And they had no chance. It shows that we have removed the historical stress in his pelvis. Leg movement has become so much easier. It's like it has come butter into his hips, announces Clausen enthusiastic.

Fuglsang has also decreased significantly in weight, from 69 to 64 kilograms.

We have examined his fat distribution, which in turn is linked to hormone distribution in the body. Jakob grew up with a dominant mother. It can be seen because he has some fat around the torso. But now he is down to 64 (kilograms) blank, says Clausen. It is ideal match weight of the Tour de France."

Wow, 5 kg?????!!! That's insane. He did look much stronger in the ardenner week than before.

Looking forward to see Fuglsang in the TDF actually, but I dont expect miracles. I think he can top10, but i think he'll have to sacrifise himself for Nibali.

And I think Fuglsang is in better shape right now than Scarponi and Nibali. He's usually peaking for Tour De Suisse because he's captain there, and wont be in TdF.

5 stage wins with 3 riders and six riders in the top 25 for the evil team too?

Dude. you don't seriously think Astana 2015 Giro is anywhere near as dodgy as Sky 2012 Tour?

After this Giro, anyone who thinks the "biopassport" works needs to have their head examined.

Cycling is as dirty as it has ever been. Astana putting two guys on the podium, winning stage after stage = Vino and Kash from years back = Ricco and Piepoli at Saunier.

Just a huge FU to the entire cycling world.

as I suggested in the stage thread: it looks like Astana was allowed to continue on the condition they won't attempt to win a GT - so they were just showing how powerful they are, winning stages, getting max allowed in GC (2nd and 3rd), swapping their guys at random, and trying to look as stupid as possible tactically (look at today's stage forum) so that people will finally get it (that this is not normal)

funny, looks like even 2nd tier races are not for them this season, so they just produce some show (would love to hear some intentionally stupid excuse from Nibs), to prove they belong to Movement For Incredible Cycling. But today, there was Movement For Alien Cycling on stage, and it's just a pity Vroomie has no balls to attack earlier, as he has his numbers which say it's enough, we'll get it tomorrow.

now here we go - Nibs launching Scarpo... that will be quite some fun if he beats Vroom for the stage... and also Burrito who's on fire

Watching Fuglsang the last two days at the Tour de Suisse he looks stupid strong. It's as if he's found another level of fitness. Feels like he's toying with the field. He's got so much power he doesn't know what to do with it.

I'm from Bergen, too bad the local football team did not take advantage of this supposed miracle breathing technique supposedly developed here.. We're the second largest city in Norway, and our team got relegated last year... As far as other athletes go, we really don't have that much to brag about, so this miracle guy better start doing some work locally, and not just help out Danish failed GC-riders..

It was bizarre to hear the Norwegian commentators on Eurosport. Without any hint of sarcasm they talked about how great it was to see how well Astana had prepared on the rest-day. I don't think they have ever heard of the rest-day bloodbag... It was weird, one of them an experienced commentator and cycling enthusiast, the other a semi-pro rider just starting out his career. And they love to see one team killing it after a rest day, without suspecting foul play, it's almost unbelieveable.
