Evans ready for final nationals, reportedly at 2011 racing weight:

Evans, 37, would clearly love to win and have the green and gold jersey. Asked what would happen to it after February 1 if he did, Evans said: "That is a problem I would like to have."

But as he reminded: "There is quite a way to go before that. There are quite a few other people eyeing that jersey – with a few more teammates as well."

Will there be a live video stream for the big boys?
For the TDU, yes. I don't think there will be for the Men's RR tomorrow though. If there is any, the coverage would be starting in exactly 24 hours.

Well of course he is, he's the only top rider who peaks for this month. And as such he should be the heavy favourite to win both the Aussie road race and the TDU.

Well TV coverage doesn't start for 60-90 minutes into the race.
Haven't found any streams but only had a quick look.

Wonder if the break takes this as Porte and Evans look at each other to see who's going to bring it back?

With no Gerrans there Greenedge will probably put Clarke in the break and then sit back. Porte won't want to drag Evans to the line to get beat in a sprint and so the onus might all be on Evans and his two young TT team mates to do most of the work if he wants to finally bag a Nationals jersey before he retires.

Anyone see any other scenarios?

Really wish I could watch this race, as with Gerrans out it becomes a contest again.

Edit: Just came belatedly to have a bet and now unable to as race has apparently already started :(

Will this be Evans last race?

No. He's doing TDU then bows out at his own - CADEL EVANS
GREAT OCEAN ROAD RACE.

It is his last shot at a Nationals jersey though.

Bobridge/Durbridge/Earle/Haussler in a group of 15 with 40".

No one will be completely happy (BMC have Flakemore), there shouldn't be too much commitment but bunch will let it go for a while anyway. Drapac will be happy with Sulzberger/Clarke/Norris there.

That break won't go anywhere, little commitment from anyone would be my guess.

Only at 2pm AEDST...probably only for Australians as well.

Ok thanks. To bed then and see if I can find some highlights tomorrow without knowing the result first.

Overall the media coverage of this race is shocking, SBS tracker only updating every 1/2 hour. Appreciate any updates from anyone who is there.

Go onto http://www.twitter.com/search and then type in #roadnats

Also, nothing has changed other than a minor attack by Durbridge which has been brought back in by the original break. Gap out to 2mins at the halfway mark.
