Would be cool to see Hansen in a solo move.
Hansen as Aus champ from a solo move would be amazing, he's like the Mr Congeniality of the pro peloton. This is the one time of the year that he always gets to ride for himself, Lotto needs to sign another couple of young Australians to support him :D

I started this to try and get info about the TV coverage (since sadly I can't make it to Ballarat this year), does anybody actually know? Channel 9 has some non-specific listing for that time, and CA has nothing that I can find, which totally p*sses me off TBH.

Firstly, thank god the most boring rider in the Peloton, Simon Gerrrans is not riding. Secondly, I'm putting my money on Porte or Evans for the Road Race. The rest of them will be well behind the pace once the race heats up in the final lap(s)

Porte needs to solo it to win. He can't sprint. He wouldn't be able to outsprint Igor Anton or Michael Rasmussen.

Would have preferred Dennis to take the win but I think this result shows that Porte has good form going into the Road Race and TDU.

Dennis and Bobridge will have an eye on their Hour record attempts, also Bobridge will be racing at the track nationals too, so they probably will be happy with their rides. They wouldn't want to peak too soon.

Very warm, wet and humid conditions in Victoria today so it is probably lucky the course wasn't too technical. I'd imagine Porte will be hungry to stamp his authority over the Australian summer.

Wow, Porte is already in super form. I'm wondering how much time he will win in Giro TT's. He is the only Sky rider that I like so I hope he will do well all season long. After this performance I'm curious what you guys think he will do in the Road Race? In my opinion he will try to ride a high tempo so no one can stay with him but Cadel will manage that and outsprint him at the finish.(maybe C. Meyer too)

Other than that good performance by Bobridge. I hope he will have a good year at his new team.Onthe other hand, Durbridge continues his bellow average TT performances. Some years ago I thought this guy will dominate TT races but now I'm not sure he will ever do that.
