Congrat's to Ben Healy. I noticed He lost time in stages and It made Me think He was creating a situation where He could do a raid. And He did.
between his earrings, long hair, the fact he looks like he should be in an irish folk rock pub band, and riding style, he could be a real cult hero.
it's a shame he rides for EF education - no beef against the team, just a very aesthetically displeasing jersey. Hopefully they change their sponsors soon so they get the nicer look which healy deserves

He's been a bit of a rock star in the Giro.
I think p*ssing off the Ineos guys today with those two attacks (especially the one in the feed zone) was hilarious.

Yes, he's a fighter. He took his shots. I'm becoming a fan of his, he's generous in his effort, he dares, he can do anything, be a factor in any race. Great Giro for Ben.
After winning the Irish national RR in pretty remarkable style, he talked about his program for the rest of the year. Starting with a few weeks break. Then it will be all about one day races in the later season - San Sebastián, Canadian races, Italian races, WC.

He basically rode a 45 k ITT
Impressive yesterday. Was in the final ~13-14 guys up the Galibier and dropped at the same time as Thomas... and only just a few hundred metres before Mas and Jorgenson.

He rode with Carapaz to the finish. Presumably he might have finished higher if not for supporting Carapaz.
He's getting kinda good on long climbs. Maybe that's his future given that his lack of explosiveness makes it hard for him to win on courses with shorter climbs against strong opposition?
