Best and Worst National Champs jerseys

Depends, I'm not sure how tough the Spanish nationals are this year, if it's a sprinty course, they may lose out if Lobato goes to one of the ProContis because he'd not be super-outnumbered like Freire used to be. They're in Castellón de la Plana though, so likely to be somewhat similar to the 2011 ones that Rojas won from a two-up against Contador. It'll be just like the last time they lost the jersey, it lasted six months, because Rubén Plaza won them for Liberty Seguros Continental in 2009, then signed for Caisse in 2010.

The AG2R Swiss jerseys have fallen a long way since Elmiger's awesome one.

Well here's what QST did a few years ago.... (and how it should be)

TBF, has QS ever done a bad champion’s jersey?

The Italian federation needs to step in and rescue Aru’s jersey :(

But the criticism laid against the current Aru jersey, and Nibali's Astana jersey, that it shows a Hungarian flag, still applies.

Has there ever been a vertical tricolour flag on a jersey, be it for Italy, France, Belgium or anywhere else? and was it any good?

Pozzato rode with one on a few Tour stages back in 2009 which can be seen pretty far down in this link:

Doesn't look that good to me, I prefer a horizontal. The one he wore during Paris - Roubaix in 2010 is still one of the best national champs jerseys I have seen, albeit for a very sad reason.

Even on the podium after the champs it's a horizontal jersey:

IMHO the classiest are the withe ones with the orizontal stripes on the chest in WC style, the jerseys made by Bora for example are the best. Anyway also something that fits in the team colours like Nibali is good for me.

Nope, sorry. Some national champion jerseys are meant to be full-jersey design. Take the Scandinavian ones, looks silly to attempt to make "stripes" out of such a flag design.
And Nibali isn't a national champion.
