2. P-R: If Nibali fit the role of tragic hero at Angliru, Cance roared across the cobbles like the operatic buffoon whose opponents' falls and follies ends in his own inevitable victory, and their mind-numbing self-defeat.
1. Worlds RR: This should be the most talked about day of racing from this season for years to come. Rain ruins the whole day and five riders make the final cut in the second half of the last lap, but Uran slides into the bank on the side of the road. Of the final four, two cyclists race, another wins, and a fourth gets the blame. No podium ever looked so much like a scaffold, and no Verdi or Mozart would lay a finger on this spectacle, but
