This is definitely his last chance. I can't see him maintain this level for another year. And Quintana will be their team leader indeed next year

Talansky did probably just as well in Dauphine last year. Or at least I remember him coming just behind Contador and Froome on 1 stage, which is arguably better than he did on the main mountain showdown this year when he was dropped and only caught back because of Froome slowing down when Contador refused to work.

Either way I don't think Dauphine really translates to Tour that easily and I don't think I've seen anthing from Talansky that suggests he can match Nibali in a gt or for that matter Valverde who has had the 2nd best season of all the contenders so far.

tradition says Nibali will get a podium like he always does and Valverde will fail to get a podium like he always does, due to some mechanical, but **** tradition for now. On form it should be Valverde 3rd (if not 2nd, depending on how good Froome and Contador will actually be), Nibali 4th and JVDB in his beloved 5th.

VDB2 is always in 4th:cool::D...but I put him in 5th in our Gt game,cuz its not possible to be 3x 4th at Tour I believe:eek:

None. :p In all seriousness. Do you think he can climb better than Froome, Valverde, Nibali, and Valverde. Yes he beat two of these guys last year, but he was very fresh. Also he claimed that the very steep gradiants of the Vuelta climbs suited him....there ain't much of those around here. Also he is no doubt still feeling some effects from his crash. His form can't be where it was at last years Vuelta and he would have to have that kind of form to podium.

That would make Froome (29) the youngest rider in the top 5. If one of the younger riders is ready for a breakthrough it's probably Talansky. On the other hand it's true that Dauphiné winners don't always do well in the Tour (Brajkovic, Moreau, Mayo...).

Maybe I could accept that Horner is not between the two top favorites. But that he should not have a possibility to be the best of the rest...? In that case I refuse to vote.

Nibs is being underestimated again. ;)

Not voting for Squalo dello Stretto in this poll - he's not going for 3rd this time. If he isn't in the top two, he won't be on the podium is my feeling.

My vote went to TGBM.

1)? Nibali
2)? Nibali
3) TGBM
4) Talansky
5) ? Nibali

He will be either 1,2, or somewhere below top 5. That's how I feel about it :p

Nah, but he did finish 10th for three GT's in a row. He's also got an 11th spot in his first GT before that and a 12th spot after that.

Thinking about Nieve makes me sad. I used to like him a lot before he sold his soul. :(

Nibali will finish at least 3rd ,but Valverde wasn't looking too hot in Route du Sud
so 2nd place is open for both.

Nibali has the potential to be stronger than Valverde but will lose out because he's riding for the win. Valverde knows he has pretty much no shot at winning hence will ride for third. He will be looking to put time into Nibali and others, not Contador and Froome.

Mosquera and Dapena (formerly 2nd & 11th) tested positive. Their void results bumped Nieve up to 10th in his 1st GT.
Could see a scenario where Froome crashes out and Porte lacks form giving Nieve the lead.
