I'm a bit surprised I was the first to name Farrar as Garmin-Cervelo's best rider. I would've thought that one was obvious.

Some though desicions here. Most have riders that or on their way up and others on the way down so it's hard to go on just past achievements. Though some choices are very obvious. Radioshack was a pain to choose.

Haussler's talented, for sure. But on palmares over the last couple of years (particularly wins), he's clearly below both of them.

Some of these are on the basis of they happen to be one of my favourite riders (Little Amets, aaaah, how i love you so <3 ), and there's also a bit of future potantial involved in them , Kwiatkowski and Uran for example. Garmin's a bloomin' hard one to choose, went for Thor cause he's been awesome for longer than the others! :D

he isn't as fast as farrar but he can still do it in bunch sprints, prolly better then thor this days. he is much stronger farrar on the classics and better then thor in M-SR and RVV on P-R and that is still to be confirmed this year imo.

thats why i picked him. but are opinions and saying thor or farrar are the stronger guys is prolly more correct anyway

WTF:eek:

I only picked Freire myself to troll you :D

And now you flip it on its head.

Your getting good at not taking the bait;)

I'm dead serious when I picked Oscar Freire. I thought it was an obvious one.

3 time world champion, 3 time Milan-San Remo winner, Paris-Tours winner vs Tour of Oman?

Hitch it would seem track cycling majesty counts for nothing with a lot of posters

Wake me up when Uran is a double gold medallist Giro stage winner comes 4th in the Tour green jersey etc

He may well do better in a GT one day but add it all up - not yet or ever. Best implies results provenance not hypothetical.

This thread's purely about opinions. No right, no wrong. I was just pointing out why some (including me) haven't gone for Haussler. He's hardly a no-brainer choice.

****

They were one of the reasons i nominated some conti teams as well.

I just took the first 11 teams on the conti list on cq and assumed they would be there.

Its not my fault they are getting beat by the likes of United Healthcare.

Ill update the list to include them

What cyclists do in their spare time as a hobby has nothing to do with how good they are as a cyclist. :D

I only remember Garzelli of that team, they had 6 riders in Omloop and KBK and only time they were on the tv was when they were dropped from the peloton :D.
