Even as probably (one of) the biggest Quickstep fanboy on this forum I have to say that Trentin was rather unchallenged at the Vuelta. He was basically the only one really trying to win sprint stages. His competition was not that great. At the Tour he wasn't even the last but second to last leadout man for Kittel and yet still dominated the Vuelta.
That says more about his opponents than it does about Matteo!
