ACF has been quiet in this thread. I don't think I've seen him post here.

I predict this thread will be made redundant very soon. If not, things may get quieter on the AS Depreciation Thread !

I don't know if they are in disarray, but ...

Teams I am impressed with:
1. OPQS
2. Vacansoleil-DCM
3. Sky

Teams I am not impressed with (at least yet):
1. BMC

The time is running close to when the performances need to happen. I know some of the big guns are trying to set things up for a very strong Tour-Olympics period, but if they do not start hitting some of their objectives, then I'd say something is up.

BMC will do something big im sure in the classics. until then they are having a bad season. The bright sides are strong ride by TJVG in PN. and pretty strong rides by the team in strade bianche and het niewsblad. Thors form looks to be pretty good. Shame he had that illness could have won a few stages that suited him.

Mods can this thread be changed to: BMC in utter disarray ?

But they are not, because there hasnt been a single big classic, where they are supposed to shine, or a GT, so as a question it could be stated but as a statement its not true because all it is, is an excessive hyperbole. Which on this forum is commonplace, but sometimes a reality check is needed.
No such statement can become correct until after the tour, because gilbert winning San sebastien, Montreal and Quebec, Lombardia, Ouest plouay, eneco and the worlds along with Evans winning the tour and Ballan winnng Pologne and TJVG winning in Colorado and GVA winning Paris-Tours and OLympics, would not be called a bad season, currently they do seem to be shaping up to that ,though maybe not in such excess.

nicely said, most of the riders are all peaking for the later part of the season. mark my words by then they will be deadly alright.

Is it true wat Michel Wuyts said today that TJVG earns over a million dollars at BMC? I knew Phinney eared some ridiculous salary, but that would be really crazy.

Evans not being where he was last year isn't entirely unexpected considering the Worlds course and other things, but how come BMC doesn't have Pinotti peaking for this race? Pretty much the entire team (exceptions being TJVG at P-N and GVA) has been rubbish so far. Are they planning a collective mass peak for the classics or what?

Of their star riders, I think Thor and Cadel are slowly coming into form. Phil not so much.

I think that for Evans and Gilbert they won't be too unhappy. I would be surprised if BMC did anything in Milan San Remo either. Ballan might be the exception and rode well there last year. I think the results will come soon. They have a strong team for the classics so there should not be any excuses for poor results.

Wuyts said he earns a million euros. Which would indeed be crazy, for a guy with his palmares.

But I guess in comparison to his BMC colleagues at the moment he's worth every cent ;)

Hopefully Van Garderen climbs onto the podium tomorrow. He's had a very up and down Paris-Nice.

Then again.............
Another less than stellar performance.
I felt sure he could take Spilak, maybe even Valverde.
Mediocrity par excellence.

As for BMC at Tirreno: OK, now I'm fairly convinced that Evans the TDF champ, has lost a bit of his hunger.
(or else he's got Andy Schleck writing his training program)

This is indeed the worst I've seen Evans in the early season for a long time. He's usually an all year long rider.

BMC have hired Rabobank's trainer, it seems.
