He says he thinks he cannot do well at Flanders.

Indeed. It's not season over with Gilbert if he misses good form in the spring classics. Far from even.El Pistolero said:Teeth problems, Gilbert knows why.
Besides, he did make a jump in form like that before: back in 2009.
The good thing with Gilbert is, that he has so many chances to win races over the season that it isn't a total disaster if he would miss the spring classics. He could still become world champion and win Lombardia in the rainbow jersey after all. I hope that's going to happen![]()

For guys like Hoste etc the season is basically over after Roubaix![]()

Gerrans is indeed the top favourite for the Amstel Gold Race.movingtarget said:Yes he usually rides a long season but I don't think there is any possible way he can win in Flanders this year. Still some hope for the later spring races. Boonen, Freire are looking good. Devolder and Pozzato are also bobbing up at the right time. I actually think Gerrans has a real chance of another classic win in the next month. He has had a great start to the season.

The Boonen kind?

El Pistolero said:He's not, if Gilbert is still not ok by then, the race will be ridden a lot more viciously.
Panda Claws said:BMC comments: "Our other leader, Philippe Gilbert, was not having a good day - which can happen – because he was suffering last week from a problem with his tooth and he had that crash on the Cypressa at San Remo."
Discuss.
Like cavendish had in Milan-Sanremo?

El Pistolero said:I never make fun when someone's sick or crashes.
El Pistolero said:It's a bit of a shame that our World Champion can't even handle a race like Dwars door Vlaanderen. Never mind getting dropped on le Manie at Milan-San Remo. That's just embarrassing if you're wearing the rainbow stripes. Only a win in Gent-Wevelgem can save his spring season now.
El Pistolero said:He's angry today that someone made him crash. But in the Tour de Suisse 2010 riders were having a protest because of Cav's dangerous racing behaviour! That's what we call being a hypocrite.
El Pistolero said:Erm, he caused that crash and wasn't sick or crashed at Milan-San Remo. What are you on about? Buy a pair of glasses or something.
Where was I making fun of him in that second quote by the way? Tough luck if that's all you could find. I don't even need to search your posts, all of them make fun of riders with surprisingly bad humor.
