Evans comments about Tirreno on BMC website:

"I didn't have the smoothest offseason like I did last year, so there was always the risk that I wasn't going to be at the level I was last year," Evans said. "Looking at it analytically, I'm not riding so poorly as the results would indicate. But there are a lot of people who were riding really well here at a high level of competition. So in the scheme of things I am looking forward to the rest of the season."

Do not worry Evans fans! He will be back.

Rabo? Don't know what you're talking about. Are they a cycling team?
Yeah, those tourists in Orange who drop out early and finish in the *** echelon. They seem to be an actual pro team and not tourists!

Hushovd already seems like he is complaining about team leadership before the race has started. He said “It's still me who has the best sprint of us four, and I expect to go for my chance,”. I wouldnt want him to be my teammate if I was a classics rider.

If that's true, I hope Gilbert acts like this the whole year. Doing nothing before the Ronde again and then winning it and so on... :D

OK, so in the CN article, BMC's plan is to have Hushovd there for if it ends in a sprint, and count on Ballan, GVA, and Gilbert to try and win by attacking.

Who's worrying about him? It's the rest of the team that worries the most.

+1. Yep. One man a team doth not make, as Evans knows better than anyone.

Just another part of Phil's master scheme :D

He even enforced Omerta upon his friends.

+1 again. Time will tell, but it will be pretty exciting in retrospect if it turns out he really is playing his cards this close to his chest.

And if BMC continues like this - not saying they will! - it just makes you want to grab them by the collar, shake vigorously, and ask, WTF is wrong with you guys?!

I am looking forward to the BMC press conference today. It will be interesting to hear what Gilbert has to say.

Thor would have likely been marked and neutralized anyway and I don't see him being some of the other guys in a heads up sprint. He'll just move on and focus on P-R now anwyay.
