Cancellara.

Yes and Cancellara .....it seems the team changes have been too much for me. Yes, obviously he will win more this year. Martin seems to be struggling a bit as well which looks like more TT wins as well for Cancellara.

This discussion reminds me a lot of the GreenEdge thread where so many said that they would win so little and how terrible their roster was.

As has been repeated often it is only March. If they still haven't performed by the end of April then fair enough.

Its nothing like GreenEdge. BMC have spent millions on riders. GreenEdge did not. BMC need to get some ROI going on before its a total failure.

Even if Gilbert somehow fails in the Ardennes and if GVA, Ballan and Hincapie fail completely as well...

Gilbert's second late season peak could still make up for that, if Evans rides well.

Many people here say BMC are peaking later/ still early on March.

But you're forgetting that BMC is by far the richest team in WT and spent highest amount of money on transfers. And still no win and **** results isn't great tbh. Certain teams are expected to do better than others, and BMC is one of them beacasue of their finances. Well so far they are quite disappointing.

I'm pretty sure Astana and Katusha have bigger budgets :)

On the list someone posted here and on velonation some months ago. BMC was by far clear favourite. Katusha was 2nd though. Preety sure BMC have biggest budget :p :) Cant find the link though now, damn it.

Maybe but their main targets for the year ; Ardenne races, TDF etc are still to come. At this time last year the only difference was the Evans had won Tirreno. Hushovd has been sick and Gilbert obviously needs more racing like Evans.

Lots of people were sceptical about Evans, Hushovd and Gilbert supporting each other during the season but so far, that issue has not even been approached yet. But you are right they need some sort of result to kickstart their season with more important races on the horizon and they need their best team on the road riding together.

no. bmc have limitless budget like phonak had. also sky has more budget than astana and katusha.

If Nibali moves to Astana, that will change! Nibali + Keurzinger + Jani... that has to cost quite a bit.

Agreed. They are in total disarray.

How so?
1) Their main targets of the season are all still to come
2)Their best riders do in fact seem to be preparing well for them.
3) Their young riders who may not have has so much expectations have done pretty well.

But yeh they are in total disarray because they havent won.... Strade Bianche and TA their 99th and 100th most important races in the season.

They're doing worse than expected, that's for sure, but if they win some classics this spring no one will remember January-March.

Gilbert is quoted as saying that his prep hasn't been ideal since he hasn't been at the actual finish/the primary action of recent events, being that those moments are important for buidling his form for his targeted events.

This if from Twitter: Has BMC done anything yet? Other than blowing a bunch of Euros on payroll?
