It's just so unfair that Alaphilippe didn't lose again. Imagine how hilarious it would have been. The universe sucks.

Even if Julian almost screwed this again, MVDP did lost it by himself.

He boxed himself in, I'm pretty sure he would have won it looking at how he came back really stronger on the last meters.

Entertaining finale!

PS: I've never noticed how much he's french when he talks english :D

Alaphilippe is the first winner in the rainbow jersey since Oscar Freire in 2005.

EDIT: And before that it was Eddy Merckx in 1972.

I'm happy that the reigning world champion, who is worthy of the shirt and races offensively, doesn't make a fool out of himself twice in a row.

It's also good to see that MVDP can make mistakes and can be defeated in a finale like this. It makes him more human.

Good race, nice podium.
