Fact is Wiggins was super vocal in slamming dopers a few years back, especially when his team-mate went positive but he is now best buddies with a guy who was found to have EPO in his system, has serious allegations against him from a former team-mate and is currently under investigation for doping.

As usual, its not the association, its the hypocrisy of it.

There was an interview during the Tour last year, I can only vaguely remember it, maybe on TV, where Wiggins described how the French all assumed he was on PEDs, the Schlecks were hostile and he didn't have much to do with Nibali and Contador; whereas Armstrong was a 'real gentleman'. My memory says he said a bit guiltily but it's been wrong before.

But the impression I got was that none of the other leading riders would accept Wiggins into their fold, but Armstrong did, and Wiggins liked him for that, whatever else he thought about him.

Get back on topic NOW

And don't you go rehashing the same arguments again, so don't make this thread an entire discussion over the backdated TUE, the '99 samples or Armstrong relationship with Ferrari

Also: DON'T attack people personally and don't make general statements over certain groups within the forum

This thread is about Wiggans in relation withArmstrong, so what his feelings are about him, why these can be considered inconsistent with other statements by him, or not and possibly the reasoning behind the statements. These are but examples, but the rest of the posts in this topic should in with these type of subjects, otherwise I will get annoyed

Also @ arriviste, I came as soone as I read your report, had you or someone else reported it earlier perhaps I would be there earlier

bla bla bla

I didn't say it did, just stating a fact.
Your also missing the point. EVERY thread turns into one about Armstrong....

no it doesn't, but armstrong is involved in the biggest doping scandal in the history of cycling what do you expect. but if you hate it so much. why are you still here?

contador has a few threads without the uniballer being mentioned much till flicky and polish and other dyed in the wool fanboys bring him into it.

but you know all this and are trying and failing miserably to push the talk away from pharmastrong.

aint gonna happen, as he is the most interesting story in the clinic as his recent history is so intriguing what with the bribery, fraud, selling bikes etc etc a long list so much to dissect and discuss.

there are plenty of other forums where clinic talk is not allowed so you maybe better off heading over there

Like I said, SC1990, there's no point in trying to convince you. Probably even if Lance came out and said he doped to the whole universe, you would still cry foul play, conspiracy, manipulation, etc.

But you obviously don't know anything about cycling. And I'm certainly not going to waste my time trying to educate you here. I've lived and raced in Italy for many years. I dont think I'm superior to anyone, but I've been around, have seen a lot of things, talked with a lot of people with more direct knowledge than me regarding the subject and so have drawn my own conclusion, like many others with similar experiences on this site.

But if you want hard evidence we have it: 6 positives from the 99 Tour. Plus loads of circumstantial evidence and, now, a devestating confession from a former teammate about systematic doping, bribery and corruption that happend for years on US Postal. We also have eye witness testimony from Betsy Andreu regarding Lance's own admission about the PEDs he took during his early career spoken to his cancer doctor.

But I know, none of this means anything to you. So like I said, keep enjoying that psychodelic sky. Evidently it's much more interesting and comforting to you than the plain truth. In any case there is a significant chance that the Fed investigation is about to change those crazy colors of yours in the celestial sphere. Whether or not that will change your mind, however, leaves me with serious doubts.

Ciao bello.

If somebody like SC1990 and several others around here clearly do not want to bothered by the facts, why would you continue bothering them with the facts?

No, "we" don't. You certainly might, but "we" most definitely do not care about such disturbingly fanboyish things.

unzip and pay special attention to Tommy D breaking away from the training ride in the CN Garmin-Cervelo beach camp. Lots of headhumps and team love throughout the huge photo spread. I don't know if they have TD posters available but you can ask. I guess you should have told"we" that nobody vares about Dave Zabriski going to a car museum. They may get your message but for now it's all Garmin all the time.CVV looks good on the dance floor and the on beach he is soooo versitle

So if you're Ricco and you admit to doping you're arrogant. If you're Vino you have no respect for the Tour.

If you're Lance and you use, traffic, encourage, set up a team-wide systematic doping regime and deny, deny, deny you get a 2-page tribute in Wiggo's new book.

Interesting now the link is missing. Wiggins two page tribute to Lance in his autobiography now gone!

Reputation.com at work again. They or similar firm, highly likely to be on team Sky payroll (Murdoch technique). More and more history being whitewashed. Routinely. Systematically.

And for those who have any doubt at all, do some google searches on Wiggins, Brailsford, Sutton. Anything on their past say before 2009. "Virtually" does not exist. All come out of nowhere recent clean success stories.

Is a copy available anywhere, or could someone post the content here? I missed it the first time around.

Looks like the Blazzing Saddles blog can only hold 256 articles, I assume the original article was from 2009 when the book "In pursuit of glory came out", this would have timed out on the blog. Articles only fo back to early 2010, of course it could be a great conspiracy or just the fact that articles after a certain period of time drop of the server (256 slots and all that).
