campagnolo chorus older generation, strange pivot

friend just gave me a set of these for the Look build.

very sweet, show some use - who cares.

Yes, those are nice. I had my first set in '88 as part of a first generation Chorus gruppo. At the time they seemed just fine.

I now have them on my two steel cioccs and like RDV says, the pads are crap. I have modified one set to use current generation campy shoes and pads and the calipers work just as well as current "D" calipers.

The monoplaner design is more than up to the task with modern pads. Enjoy 'em...

the new front dual pivot campag brakes are fantastic, no tired hands at the end of long descent.
