Seems accurateIt will be even funnier if he doesn't attack once and just limps in for like 11th or something, slowly dripping time, great commitment to the bit.
Passing Ayuso in GC and team hierarchy.
What the *** is he doing![]()
He is selfish. There are 3 UAE riders very selfish.I started the Giro defending his work, but since Siena he has only looked for his own interests.
He didn't really miss that much time in Siena either. He didn't give his all to the group, and if he was so injured, he should´ve missed more time
Today Majka looked really angry with McNulty who has made the top 10 in an embarrassing way without helping his team.
I think it was a genuine and heartfelt post - and I'm happy for him. It is up the the employer to judge whether he fulfilled his responsibility within the team. If they gave him the freedom to ride his race then who are we to judge? If UAE had helped EF chase the break on stage 20 - the criticism against Mcnulty would be far less potent. DS's fault. Baroncini and Arrieta should have pulled - not Mcnulty.McNulty doesn't even hide it. Proud of his top 10.
By profile, McNulty was the best domestique to go along with Finestre's break. But aside from UAE's incompetence, McNulty wouldn't have sacrificed his top 10 finish.
For me, his Giro is reason to be fired. He's been riding for his position since the day he got involved in a break to recover positions and placed tenth.
Besides, a top-10 finish for the UAE is useless. Bragging about it when they've just lost the Giro is pretty ridiculous, but doing so when it's clear he hasn't worked leaves him exposed.

Baroncini alone could have kept the gap under 5 minutes if UAE wanted so. McNulty was never gonna be asked to work on the flat on that stage.I think it was a genuine and heartfelt post - and I'm happy for him. Not fans, but haters.McNulty was literally bleeding out after his crash on the gravel stage and he was pulling for Ayuso covered in blood.
Cycling is such a crazy sport where guys suffer injuries, do their job and then still get fans calling for them to be fired two weeks later.

McNulty should´ve gone with Van Aert in the break, but that would´ve meant losing his top 10 . He wouldn't have done it. If there were any doubts about, that post confirms it.
In my opinion, his Giro is grounds for dismissal.
As long as he's on the team, they shouldn't send him to another GT. He is on the pre-list for the Vuelta. They should remove him from the Vuelta team after his selfish behavior at the Giro.
