I only voted for 3 - 4 minutes. I think Plateau de Beille will be the last climb where he will gain time on quintana because I don't expect a superstrong froome in the alps any more, just like 2013

Call me crazy but I think you're right.Fernandez said:He wont win it. He will fade away at the third week. Quintana will win this Tour
Pricey_sky said:As he said since the start of the season, he is aiming for a peak on weeks 2-3. He's not won it yet but I thinkit could be 7-8 minutes.

Didn't he also say he was going to be defensive today?

Well he said that was the plan, but then he got the message that rivals were struggling so he told Porte and Thomas to nail it, and rightly so.

Froome is good in long stages, in long climbs and in the third week.
Nairo is a better climber, a pure cliber, and as the mountain stage goes he will be better, and I think he will be better some days than froome, but some days Froome will put more time to him.
Nairo is young and I think he could beat Froome some year, but he has to wait. he is a big talent, but froome as well and more complete and when you are complete in the foirst mountain stage you beat pure climbers.

Froome is the best climber in the world and planned to peak for week 3

Well, I'm sorry you can't believe in those miracles.Energy Starr said:Queens Boulevard said:This would be funny if it wasn't a touch depressing. Maybe it's both?
Agreed. More miracles.
How can Porte finish fourth? He already lost more than 45 minutes! G may possibly finish 3rd, but not 5secs behind Quintana.hfer07 said:well - if SKY follows the 2013 script - I expect Froome to fade (cough "fake" cough) in the Alps & give away a minute or two to Quintanita, so I'd say 7 minutes +- is a fair guess
so Top 5 will be like:
1-) Froome
2-) Quintanita = 7:45
3-) G = 7:50
4-) Porte = 7:55
5) Contador = 22:35
